Equally obsessive about Hi-NRG, Downtempo, New Beat, Dark & Nu Disco she quests through the dirtiest depths of the internet and record stores for rhythms so inviting that you can't help but bathe, kick and writhe in the sludge and dust with her. She's raised iconic dancefloors worldwide with a style that is an eclectic swag of sex, humour and psychedelia. A collision of expansive beats and seductive evolving moods that have hypnotized Berlin's audiences at Berghain's Panorama Bar for Italorama, Cocktail d'Amore, Salon zur Wilden Renate, Revier Südost, and Sisyphos to mention a few.

Though she's “just a DJ, not a f***ing neurosurgeon”, she is the rock and caretaker of Wrong Era and Slow Motion organizations and parties all over the world; notorious, sweaty meet-ups for all the "not-too-hard tunz" music lovers.

We’re super happy to have Giulia Gutterer welcomed into our family, with her having this genuine energy from square one. At one point we thought of making a longer piece, but we decided leave it out there with her own comment:

“I had real fun doing it, I wanted to mix more different stuff and music styles, that I am quite into, as well as some new songs and forever favorites to top up the cake! Hope you can feel the groove, cuz I felt it <3”

Meanwhile, she's been booking for the Italian dance wave label “Slow Motion” with Berlin-based DJ and nightlife fixture Franz Scala, alongside the Wrong Era parties at Diskothek Melancholie: the notorious, sweaty monthly meet-up for all the not "too hard tunz tunz music" lovers.

Obviously, my selection for a gloomy disco and made me grateful that Italo Moderni reached me out to make this mixtape. Synth music has always been a fine baseline for me, can be perky, moody and individual at once or totally the opposite. One thing for sure, I am longing to spice it up with a mixed bundle of emotions. You will find various great new-beat, wave and dark disco from Germany, Italy and Belgium, and end up with some industrial from the US. Well, quite universal. When it came to making big decisions, he always sat on the fence. He preferred to play it safe and not upset the apple cart, but sometimes that backfired. Those around him urged him to take risks, to occasionally listen to the devil on his shoulder but politeness always reared its head. 

In September, Inside Out Records welcomed Hivern Discs alumni Steve Pepe to the family for his off kilter LP Vivere in Diagonale. As a follow up to the release the label has enlisted a host of producers to put their own spin on several of the tracks off the release, bringing their own unique textures and flavours to the table. Reinterpretations come via label mates Stevie R and Parisinos, Salon des Amateurs mainstay Tolouse low Trax, Ninja Tune producer Lamusa II, Huntleys + Palmers affiliate nICo and Macadam Mambo & fellow Hivern Discs collaborator Eva Geist who delivers an acoustic, nostalgic rework of 'Il Diavolo'.
