Born in Rome and with several years of production under other name Christian creates the Futuristant project from the need to give an experimental and futuristic touch to his sound. In a short time he became known with releases on high-level labels such as AEON, Bordello A Parigi and Ombra International.
His sound is a nostalgic mix of indie disco influences accompanied by 80's rhythms and futuristic synths.

In the late 2018 Christian decides to start a new adventure and he creates Futuristant, a solo project made to experiment with different sounds and contrasting influences that he feels to belong. His first release "Future Dance", on the independent label Encants Records, is a big success and gets him quickly into a wider audience. Played by Solomun all over the year, the track has been in Top 100 Beatport for more than 9 months.

From there all goes downhill, a lot of releases in labels like Ombra International, Roam Recordings, Aeon Audio, Rotten City, NEIN, until he arrives at the legendary Bordello a Parigi. In such a short time his music has been supported, charted, and played by artists like Solomun, The Economist, Rufus Du Sol, WhoMadeWho, Curses, and many others.

Futuristant is an alchemist, and his productions are a real melting pot of nostalgic influences, he doesn’t limit himself in just one style but always maintains that retro futuristic touch that makes his sonority recognizable.

Ives Barceló, straight outta Salina Cruz, Oaxaca, México, is Influenced by genres such as techno, house, even deathmetal; he found his sound giving rise in his repertoire to genres such as Techno, Indie Dance, Electro, EBM, among others. 

Characterised by the taste of intense percussions, saturated basses and distorted sound, where the frequencies of the beats oscillate between 130 and 140 bpm, Ives Barceló tells us in each set a sonic story guided by a unique story style of mixing in the booth.

Kronikos Pt. 1 was released on Good Skills in summer of 2021 and was well received by weird electronica fans across the globe. Things really kicked off for Karolis after this. It’s time for world to hear the second part of this mysterious debut release, described by author as 'world news show, where each song represents a different story'. “Atomik Bomb” is a testament of Shkema’s German skills. Title of the track, written and produced in 2018, sounds a little risky considering nowadays geopolitical context, but rules are simple - you can’t take a lyric out of a track. Some serious bass line action here, you must check it out.
“Singapūras” is a tribute to the country Shkema has never been to. Massive flute solo, wonderful percussion section and a dream to go there one day. Disco Mortale (previously known as Daniel Monaco) delivered an Italian bass slapping boogie version of “Atomik Bomb”. Proper 80s vibe, perfect for a ride in Miami, driving a red
Testarossa. Last but not least in the saga of “Kronikos” is a refix from Mexican duo Theus Mago & Moisees. These guys know what they are doing, this track is perfect for times when dance floor needs some fresh energy.

On the road for a little longer than a year now, the cool Mexican label Kyma Komplex has been featuring some of the finest artists of the so-called Indie Dance/Dark Disco scene plus some spot-on flirting with other genres such as House, Techno, and Trance. Sixtoagusto (SXDNS031), Diaz Tech (SXDNS089/FREEDL013), Mad Slow, Mverto Futura, Manu Barcelo (SXDNS344), Edd Brave (FREEDL033), Cali Burton, Seli (SXDNS360), Corresponsal, and Veltran (FREEDL050) are just a few of the names on board. 

For its next instalment, the rising imprint opens its doors one more time for the skilled Brazilian producer Lucas Novaes, who debuted on Kyma with a remix for Mad Slow’s “Detroit” released last year. For his forthcoming “Ganas” EP, the Paulista artist invited some interesting names for the remix duties: Ludmila Fuks (SXDNS361), Abby Knives (SXDNS299), Pvlomo (SXDNS098/FREEDL045), and Panko delivered shiny contributions to the EP.

Premiered here, the title track presents its credentials from the very beginning with its super fat bassline perfectly paired with rhythmic synth layers and stabs. The ominous vocal hooks, which cannot go unmentioned, deliver a stunning ghostly aura to the rich theme despite its minimalistic construction.
