Il pezzo che state ascoltando ora è ispirato ad una poesia di Guido Cavalcanti (Voi che per li occhi mi passaste 'l core).
Ho amato lo stilnovismo perché nel periodo in cui l'ho vissuto ogni poesia parlava di me... e di lei.
In questo caso "Corteccia" è dedicato al piacere per il dolore, impersonificato da una donna, che con il suo sguardo lancia una freccia ed io, inerme, sono pronto a riceverla...
come la sua corteccia.
