Tuning My Fork

I am tuning my fork
I would like it to play 
Ode to Joy
So far, it has nothing to say

I can only get the first four notes
It’s enough to get the flavor 
But you know that I’ll want more later

Can I tune an entire service, 
And ask my guests to play? 
After we master the melody 
Can we raise some harmony from our plates?

I am also thinking of tuning the glasses
To be struck quite gently with our knives
I’ll put a refill line on every one of them 
To avoid any temperament jive 

Eat, drink and play merrily
