GUZ is making waves in the dance scene. After huge records like “Dancin Kinda Close” and “U Got My Love,” he teamed up with John Summit for ‘Thin Line’ on D4 D4nce (Defected) at the end of 2020, which received tons of BBC Radio 1 plays, became #1 on Beatport House chart and was selected as MixMarathon Track Of The Week on Dutch radio station SLAM! 

The success continued in 2021 with the release of 'Set U Free' on Sink or Swim. The track raised to the #1 overall position on Beatport within no time and stayed there for more than 4 weeks straight. Additionally, it was played many times on BBC Radio 1 and got massive support from other radio stations as well like KISS Dance, SLAM!, 538, and more. 

At the end of 2021, it turned out that “Set U Free” was the 2nd most-played track of the year at 1001Tracklists, the 2nd most-sold track on the Beatport Tech House genre, and #6 most-sold in general. On top of that, GUZ became the #11 best producer on 1001Tracklists.

Besides all these successes there were plenty of other releases with Jack Back and Ferreck Dawn on his own imprint Sink Or Swim, the remix for Mark Knight's “You Saw Me” on Toolroom, and many more. 

2022 kicked off with a remix of Ferreck Dawn's “Back Tomorrow” on Defected followed by a collab with Havoc & Lawn on Toolroom.
With the festival season being in full effect again, GUZ is touring all around again and performed his latest remix of Hayley May’s ‘Feel It’ live with her on stage during Forbidden Forest (UK).

In July, the long-awaited track “What a Life” with John Summit and Stevie Appleton was released on Off the Grid Records. This second collab between GUZ and John Summit gained a lot of support. It has over 2 million streams and was one of the songs used for the Ultra Miami Music Festival video! 

After playing many festivals during the summer, GUZ hosted his event for the first time during Amsterdam Dance Event called Out Of Office, which was sold out and a great success! 

2023 kicked off with a release on Insomniac Records together with Camden Cox called “Pouring Rain,” which already caught a lot of attention as well from DJs and Radio stations. This was followed by “Time After Time” on Tomorrowland Music, a remix for BLR’s “Lipstick” on Off The Grid, and his latest single “Get It On” together with Piem on Jacckies Music.

Now, GUZ is rolling into 2024 on fire as he teams up with iEDM Radio for our newest guest mix!

Sydney Blu’s career can be considered a journey of evolvement. With a tremendous passion for live performance, music production, and all-around artistic creativity, Sydney’s constant deter-mination shines brightly through her accomplished Dj career. With beginnings in Toronto Canada playing for The Guvernment Nightclub, Footwork Nightclub, and the LGBTQ2S+ community, then following 6 years in the United States touring the continent and the globe, all the way to her recent life in Berlin Germany, Sydney’s dedication to living her life through music is unbridled. A proudly Canadian artist, Sydney’s success is largely attributed to her relentless touring sched-ule which she’s upheld for several years. In 2009, Sydney Blu founded her imprint, Blu Music, on the principle of authentic, dancefloor-rich house and techno, the following year she extended her brand to another branch introducing her legendary Blu Party series which curates some of the greatest names of the underground house. On top of that, Sydney has released music on some of the most recognized labels in the industry including Hot Since 82’s Knee Deep in Sound, Adam Beyers & Drumcode’s Truesoul, Steve Lawler’s VIVa Music, Desert Hearts Records, Deadmau5’s Mau5trap, Yousef’s Circus Recordings, Josh Butler’s Origins, Kevin Saunderson’s KMS Records, Katerblau Berlin’s Katermukke Records, and more. Her release "Give It Up For Me” on Mau5trap earned Sydney a #1 hit on Beatport for over 3 months. With multiple top ten records since then, Sydney continues to chart every year including another recent top ten “Mind Games” on Hot Since 82’s Knee Deep in Sound which was premiered by Billboard Magazine.

Perhaps, her most fully realized body of work to date, Conviction earned her a JUNO nomination for Electronic Album of the Year and climbed to the top of Beatport Top 10 in Afrohouse, Deep house, Minimal House, Melodic, and Tech house. Her lead singles Conspiracy, Temple, and To the Ground and were playlisted on Electronic Rising, Organica, and Housework. In late 2021 Sydney launched the #23by23 campaign with the help of Native Instruments, and a run of A-list record labels. The campaigns aim is to encourage labels to increase their percentage of female producers to 23% or more by the end of 2023. To support this initiative, Label Radar is hosting remix competitions and demo challenges with some major labels participating in the campaign like SOMA Records, HE.SHE.THEY, Anjunadeep, Insomniac Records, Poker Flat Recordings, Hospital Records, Toolroom Records, Insomniac Records, Club Sweat, Gorgon City’s Realm Records, Soma Records, Desert Hearts, Walker and Royce’s Rules Don’t Apply, Circus Recordings and more. Sydney has also taken #23by23 around the globe speaking about the importance of diversity on dance labels this past year at Amsterdam Dance Event, In-ternational Music Summitt (Ibiza) and Berlin Dance Event.

One of Sydney’s greatest accomplishments to date has been her recent successful advocation for a new category at Canada’s largest award show ‘The JUNO Awards’. For four years, Sydney gathered Canada’s top managers, agents, publicists, festival owners, club owners and artists in dance music to help urge The Canadian Academy of Arts and Sciences to make a new award that represents the origins of electronic music called ‘Underground Dance Single of the Year’. The category was successfully accepted by the JUNO’s in June 2021 and presented its first award in 2022 with Sydney Blu as its Chairwoman. With no signs of slowing down, expect many new upcoming releases from Sydney Blu in 2023 and a full touring schedule.
