This song came together in such a natural way. It feels like Violet and myself both had to get something off of our chest and this song is doing exactly that for us, and sometimes that’s all music has to do.

When RUNN sent Sunburn to me, I was HOOKED by her vocal and the story she tells throughout the song.

I was stuck for a while with the song and had a few ideas that didn't match up quite well enough. Once I started playing with the strings, it felt natural to write the entire song through the lens of an orchestra (+ guitar).
