"Syrinx Music keeps treading its path between the lab & the club with the first appearance of Denver’s Little Brother on our label. Following on two releases that were looking more intently at the lab pole of our axis, Inspiration du Silence Pt. 1 reaches closer to club sounds, although with Denver’s Little Brother’s off-kilter, narrative take on IDM, breaks, acid & more. After the release of his debut EP, Sur La Lucarne, earlier this year on likeminded imprint ABRICATALOG, this is the first step of a broader project on Syrinx Music: as the title implies, these four tracks are the first in a series of three EPs that form an album altogether.

Inspiration du Silence has been three years in the works and initially started as a radiophonic project on Paris-based webradio Station Station. The storytelling aspect of Denver’s Little Brother’s works is clearly heard here, as evidenced by the melodic progression of opening track “Rust” or the central “Spectre” trilogy. Dreamlike arpeggios, moody textures and retro-futuristic pads combine to offer an insight into the Paris-area producer’s aesthetics: as “Spectre Pt. 3” ends, we are set on a journey that will be continued next year as the following steps in the series see release."

JDubb opened today’s broadcast with an atmospheric set. Deep drum and bass, jungle textures, chilled rollers and selective deep cuts shaped the first half. The vibe was patient, steady and immersive.

The final two hours moved into early and mid 2000s liquidfunk. Creative Source, Soul:r and similar sounds guided the progression. Smooth grooves, warm chords and forward motion carried the show to its conclusion.

Low-End Syndication: Sunday Sessions 004 // 11.23.25

A couple of times a year I put on these sessions in my basement, where I set up 4 speakers in a circle, invite a few friends over, and we lie down and dissociate in the cosy darkness for an hour while listening to a surround sound mix I made for it.

I usually do a mix of mine and other people's ambient, drone and field recordings, plus some fucked up granular panning shit just to throw a spanner in the works (big up the refractalizerrrr, thanks Ben). Minutes long crossfades. Sometimes quiet, sometimes loud with harmonic mixing when I can. Uplifting but abstract. I try to leave some empty space and not let something too unsettling go on toooo long.

I'm sharing this one cos I think it's the best one I've done, and I hope you can get something out of it. There are two versions. One a binaural mix (this one) and a 4 channel surround one split into two stereo files (Front-Left Front-Right and Rear-Left Rear-Right) that you can find below.

If you want help with the 4 channel setup DM me. I would just drop the two files into ableton and put the first to out 1+2 and the second to 3+4. To get the right volume skip to the loudest part and set it based on that. You don't wanna have to do that half way through, trust me.
