Te descubrimos el rework que el productor OMEGA dB ha realizado de su tema ‘The Wind Whispers, y que formará parte del álbum ‘Chapter Four Remixes’ que publica el próximo 29 de abril en el sello Hypersunday Records. El disco cuenta con extraordinarias remezclas de Fernando Lagreca, Pina, BeatLove, Josephine, Matsu, Structweird y NIET!

El rework que ahora te adelantamos es una revisión four on the floor del tema original incluido en su aclamado álbum ‘Chapter Four’ de 2020. El productor catalán vuelve a demostrar su interés por la experimentación musical, que aquí se desarrolla sobre una base cien por cien bailable pero en absoluto al uso. De una oscuridad casi gótica, el track es fiel a la épica característica del lenguaje musical del productor, desarrollando un ambiente cargado de misterio.

Según OMEGA dB, “con esta revisión quise recrearme en una construcción cien por cien bailable donde las frecuencias graves y la percusión estuvieran muy presentes”. En efecto, un kick y sub musculosos marcan el groove del track, acompañados de una caja y hi hats afilados con filtros analógicos, un concepto totalmente opuesto al original, que es puramente ambiental, y donde las capas de sintetizadores son las protagonistas.

“He querido conservar el movimiento melódico usando fragmentos originales y añadiendo nuevas capas de sintetizadores, entre ellas, la parte final, que ha sido grabada manteniendo la dinámica del swing para conservar la humanidad”, añade OMEGA dB. Unas voces femeninas viajan por el estéreo con una larga cola de reverb creando una sensación de susurro lejano y envolvente que el viento arrastra y arroja a nuestros oídos, un secreto, explica el productor “que sólo podremos desvelar moviéndonos a 120 BPM”.

El 29 de abril se publica ‘Chapter Four Remixes’ (Hypersunday Records) donde ocho remixers le dan otra vuelta de tuerca al disco firmado por OMEGA dB en 2020. 

Josephine, Matsu, BeatLove, Fernando Lagreca, Structweird, NIET!, Pina y el propio OMEGA dB llevan a su terreno los ocho temas originales de ‘Chapter Four’, con visiones que van del ambient más experimental al sonido más pistero. 

Esta es precisamente la línea que ha elegido la dj y productora Josephine para abrir el álbum con su remix de ‘Bird Flight’, que adelantamos aquí en rigurosa exclusiva.

La gran artista NIET! presenta un set promocional de ‘Chapter Four Remixes’, donde encontramos remixes de productores de música electrónica muy distintos entre sí, como son: Josephine, Matsu, BeatLove, Fernando Lagreca, Structweird y Pina que y la misma NIET!, que reinterpretan los tracks del último álbum del productor barcelonés OMEGA dB.

‘Chapter Four’, fue uno de los mejores trabajos que nos dejó 2020, y qué mejor forma de conmemorarlo que con este set realizado con los temas de ‘Chapter Four Remixes‘, nos introduce en su singular y cinematográfico imaginario.

“The human being has always had an intrinsic interest in the exploration of space. 
We explore to find intelligent life, but also ... Can we explore to find ourselves? In a way, we are at limit. In any case, Technosignatures are everything that we recognize as technology that helps us explore if there is intelligent life in space, through any evidence, past or present.
If we have more advanced technology in the future, could we find intelligent life through Technosignatures? 
Definitely, each technosignature has a different upper limit. 
There are many opportunities in the future to detect technosignatures thanks to the development of new and more powerful instruments. 
The best example, with which we are most familiar, is the radio waves. 
It is what the searches for extrater- restrial life that have been carried out in recent decades have mainly focused on. 
But it‘s not the only option. 
There are many other technosignatures that have not been thoroughly explored. Not to mention, new possibilities are being added as time goes by. 
It can be things like laser emissions, which could be used as an optical communication mode. 
They could also be used as a motor. 
Similarly, we could find megastructures. 
Or, to put a very different option, detect the presence of polluting
elements in an atmosphere.
There is also the possibility that technosignatures are widely distributed. Likewise, they could be more abundant, more obvious and much clearer. 
It is possible that they can be detected even if their origin is in other galaxies. 
At the same time, it is possible to think that a very advanced species has dominated space travel, so that, surely, they will have expanded to other nearby planets, star systems and perhaps even different universes.
Space travel and the search for civilizations in other parts of the Universe is one of the great challenges of modern astronomy. 
For this reason, NASA has recently analyzed the detection of technosignatures and determine what we can expect in the future. That is, what should we do to detect signs of other civilizations?“

Holding the flag for Spain, Barcelona born Ludowick serves up the third release for Aussie label, LVCHLD with a solid three track EP.

Taking things a little more minimal with the first track, Ludowick flexes his skills in the studio. 'Playground' is the lead track and features an infectious deep baseline & evolving vocals - it's a dance floor heater.

'Amapola' delivers nothing less than what you would expect from Ludowick; rolling bass, smooth pads, and perfectly placed percussion! A playful number that will have you grooving.

Finishing if off is a little something for the late night dance floor, a B side number, 'Filterhead' with atmospheric vibes.
