I have composed this piece together with a friend and great piano composer, Stephan Beneking, who is from Germany and has a romantic composing style as me. So we composed short parts each and "answered" with another part (indicated in the score with SB and SG). This makes this piece kind of unique, a mixture of romantic french and german composing styles.

Japanese, Mr Takamatsu, decided to learn to dive to search the sea in the wild hope of finding his wife, who died there 6 years in the Tsunami (March 11, 2011, Japan). She called Yuko and she took refuge on the roof of a bank Onagawa, a small fishing port on the east coast of the country where it was unfortunately taken away by a wall of water nearly 20 meters . I payed tribute to this woman with this piano piece "Yuko Takamatsu."
