The stage is set near a florescent blue battleground deep underground. Spores fill the damp air as both participants realize something isn't right.

Dukebox turned wildly in the air, desperately trying to spot its attacker's bright white eyes among the gloom of the mushrooms. Their body was like vantablack, absorbing the light from around them. In such a poorly lit environment it was impossible to see them until it was almost too late.

Yet again, the beast rears their head from the field of shrooms, and leaps for the insectoid jukebox, one clawed hand outstretched and the other grasping a pickaxe Dukebox was sure it hadn't had last time. 

𝔸𝕚𝔸𝕚𝔸𝕚𝕞ℕ𝔼𝕀𝕃ℂ𝕀ℂ𝕀𝕀ℂ𝕀ℂℂℂ𝕀𝕀ℂ𝕀ℂ𝕀ℂ𝕀𝕂𝕚𝕕𝕚𝕕𝕂𝕚𝕕:: M̶o̴M̷o̷M̷o̵d̸i̷f̸y̸f̶y̷f̵y̷ ̴a̴n̵d̸ ̶s̸e̵s̷e̴s̷e̵S̸E̴V̸E̶R̷!̷
Dukebox: >uh

A horrible, distorted voice erupts from the beast's unnatural form, and it swings the pick at Duke's body, landing a clean hit. The creature was mouthless, but if it had one, it'd be grinning ear to ear. In a gravity-defying manoeuvre, the beast flips in the air and strikes Dukebox with the pickaxe once more, widening the spiderweb crack that had spread out from the first impact.

In that brief moment, as his vision swam in pain, Dukebox was sure he saw the creature shift form; from some vaguely dog-like being to a something more humanoid, more... familiar? It's two wide eyes, white voids that bored into Dukebox's soul, stared into him, stretching the moment out into infinity.

Then time seemed to unfreeze, the creature's form the same as it had always been. Dukebox spun himself once, twice, and managed to dislodge the pick from his side, sending the beast flying in the process.

From the hole in Dukebox's side, there came a horrible buzzing sound. In moments, the creature was engulfed in a swarm of flies, biting and buzzing incessantly at the thing. And all at once, as if an invisible health bar had expired, the beast just... melted.
