Penthouse Party with Me, Myself and I...

I have no words to describe the sadness I feel for the state our world is in today. I am praying for Ukraine and all the innocent lives affected by this recent and unnecessary war, praying for a planet where there is peace for all.
I am grateful for the music and happy to be able to retreat to my little secret garden where I can load my batteries and tune in to the frequency of unconditional love in my heart for all the people and living creatures on this beautiful planet.

Impromptu

I am so very excited to share Sangita as this is my first ever track!! (Co-produced with Nic Cammelli) 
'Sangita' means 'Music' in Sanskrit. Sangita also means 'combining, converging, bringing together'. This very same music connected Nic and Sylvetje, and soon after combining their musical tastes and skill sets, a beautiful creative flow happened and Sangita came to life. 
Sangita is an energetic track with an uplifting desert feel and high energy drops that shake the dance floor. It blends deep, organic and melodic sounds through the acid guitar vibrations and a punchy, consistent bass line.

Snow Girl | Live Set for @TTNS Radioshow

1. Vlucht – Yør Kultura
A mysterious ship is seen from far through the mist in the early morning hours. There is a feeling of mystery and menace.

2. Boa (Julioo Remix) – LUM 
When the ship comes closer we can see it is a Viking war ship. Men on the ship are savage, preparing for war. The energy is masculine. We can see Ragnar  (male-captain of the ship) looking out for someone.

3. Mysterious Worlds (Fake Mood remix) – Hraach, Armen Miran 			
On the horizon we see another Viking Ship approaching. On the helm is a female warrior, Lagherta – the wife of Ragnar.

4. Kamala Bani (Kadosh 2020 Mix) – Sam Shure, CIOZ				
The ships are approaching fast,. we feel excitement and anticipation as Ragnar and Lagherta will reunite after a long trip… they will be joining forces to go to battle.

5. Mafqoud (DJ Chus remix) – Ramy Mishriky
The ships finally join, and Ragnar and Lagherta are reunited. The love between them is deep and inspiring. Ragnar and Lagherta are the strongest warriors of the viking tribe and together they are ready for battle against their common enemy

6. Bujana – Martin Waslewski 							
Bujana means fire. The tribe worships the god of fire and ask him for help for the  upcoming battle.

7. Trip to Bianya (Original Mix) – Dr Dru				
The seer(viking shaman)reads the runes, in order to predict the future (and translate the wishes of the Viking gods
We feel magic and witchcraft. Everybody is waiting for the answer of the gods as to the outcome of the battle

8. Matriarch – Made by Pete						
Lagherta calls upon the light elves, who are fairer than the sun to look at, who do a magical dance to make the gods happy.

9. Emerald (Original Mix) - Animal Trainer 				
The Nordic gods are positive about the war, messages are that the battle will be successful.
The mood is good and the troops feel invigorated with the good news

10. Harisma (Original Mix) – Anturage and Alexey Union		
Ragnar and Lagharta, both charismatic figures, announce the plans for the war, share with their crew the positive feedback from the gods, and they launch the preparations for the battle.

11. Jetendra – Super Flu					   
Jitendra means conqueror – In order to conquer the south the Vikings will be sacrificing animals as a way of offering to the gods, resulting in communal feasting and partying.

12. Amaru – Brigado Crew & Crisstiano 				
The ultimate offer to the gods: a human is being sacrificed – music is dramatic and melodic

13. Shadow Way (Ivory Physical Retouch) – Adam Ten, Mosko (IL)	    	
The human sacrifice ceremony is being continued and accompanied by yelling and kulning.

14. Tokyo – Dan Barrow						   
Things are getting serious, the mood changes.
After the sacrifices and the feasting the troops are getting ready for battle against the enemy.

15. Imaona – Klunsh							
The battle starts. Ragnar and Lagherta’s tribe is so confident that they are literally slaughtering their enemy and the mood is overconfident.

16. Carmen Spirituale (Morttagua remix) – Megan Fair, Klunsh 	
The battle goes on and is bloody, a lot of people are dying.
 The angel of death is hovering over the fields (singing in track) .
Will Ragnar and Lagherta’s troops win?
Dip in confidence.

17. Orientalist (Stan Kolev Extended) – High on Mars 
The battle is at its bloodiest!!
Ragnar kills Rollo, the leader of the enemy.

18. Kunufa (Original mix) – Space Food
End of the battle, more and more enemies are killed and the thrill of  victory is palpable.
Swords are swirling to end the life of the last brave enemies, victory is near.

19. Deep Distance (Original mix) – Moonclipse
The battle has been won by our troops, Ragnar walks on the fields and cries victory, walking over the fields filled with corpses. Feelings of elation are followed by feelings of horror seeing death everywhere

Here is our story behind the track:
Underground artists are like fireflies, they are small but very magnificent when they glow at night.
Fireflies is a warm, deep house track, radio friendly, with a punchy bassline and a catchy knightrider-inspired riff from the 80's. It's the perfect soundtrack for a night drive.
The track builds up progressively, accumulating light and colour before the drop.
It's our favourite set opener, it's the track that makes you want to move. it's an invite to the dancefloor.

‘Music is food for your soul’ is a punchline regularly crossing the mind of
Belgian DJ Sylvetje, and her soul is hungry. Leading a modern day nomad life,
electronic music has faithfully followed her as it allows her to express her
emotions and ever sparks her creativity.

After having been at the helm of a fashion label called Lounge Lover since
2004, Sylvie decided to dedicate more of her time to the gods of music.

Sylvie’s musical story begins growing up in the lowlands of Flanders, where the
Sound of Belgium set the foundations for her future musical preferences. Regular visits to the isle of Ibiza added the Balearic state of mind to her musical spectrum, meaning that no sound will pass without a positive and happy flavour to it.

To share the ‘good vibes’ she adores, Sylvetje can be found behind the decks of
the most established places in London (Hovarda, Mandrake, Steelyard, Kadies,
Beat...) and recently exported her sound to Tulum, Paris, Montreal, Lisbon and ofcourse Ibiza.

Sylvie is also the co-founder of Sonic Soulmates, spiritual events focusing on
connection trough gong healing and electronic music.
In 2021 Sylvetje released her first track ‘Sangita’ with Nic Cammelli and a second release ‘Yuman’ is planned for February 2022.
As for the style of music she drops, one could call it deep, organic, melodic
techno... but, what’s in a name?

Music is essential to many of our lives. We listen to it when waking up, while in transit, at work, and with our friends. For many, music is like a constant companion. It can bring us joy and motivate us, accompany us through difficult times, and alleviate our worries. 

Music is much more than mere entertainment. It has been a feature of every known human society—anthropologists and sociologists have yet to find a single culture throughout the course of human history that has not had music. In fact, many evolutionary psychologists today make the argument that music predated language. Primitive tribes and religious practices have used music to reach enlightened states for thousands of years, and Pythagoras used music to heal different psychological and physical ailments. Currently, cutting-edge scientific research has shown the effect that music has on the brain, the individual, and society. 

Not only does music reach us on intellectual, social, and emotional levels, but many describe it as spiritual or mystical. The use of melodic, harmonic, and rhythmic devices in music can induce a psychological state in both the musicians and the listener that is beyond words to describe. Music can bring us back to ourselves, be our mirror, and show us a side of us we may have long forgotten or never knew existed. 

Even though we are constantly exposed music in our daily lives, we rarely stop to actually think about what it is. After all, what exactly is music?

Fundamentally, music is a combination of sounds, and sound is vibration. One of the most succinct definitions of music comes from the Italian composer Ferruccio Busoni, who said that, “Music is sonorous air.” It's extraordinary to think that a simple vibration unseen by the human eye can facilitate a deeply rich emotional experience, alter perception and consciousness, and induce ecstatic states of being. What is the process by which these sonic vibratory frequencies are heard by the listener, creating a profound psychological experience for them? How does something as fleeting as "sonorous air" have such a healing and therapeutic effect on people? And how does it facilitate personal growth?

I don't have an answer on all these questions, I just know that I could not imagine my life without. 
So this little mix is just to say 'I love you'. Could not do it without you.

Witchtape #67 | Guest Witch : Sylvetje

That Spring morning, the little witch woke up from the pleasant sound of the singing birds in her forest.  With her eyes half-open and still feeling drowsy from a good night’s sleep, her heart suddenly skipped a beat from excitement when she realized the next night there would be a full moon, which meant she’ll participate in the monthly witch coven (which always happens in a different location and in the ever-changing company of two other witches).  She never knows in advance where this location is, but she knew she would find it by simply following her inner compass.  To her great surprise, the little witch didn’t feel the urge to start flying  This surely meant that the witch coven would take place in a nearby forest.  It was already well past noon when she finally got into a flying mood and took off into the unknown.  She gently floated in the air in the middle of a herd of white clouds, while following the little meandering river downstream in North-Eastern direction until it merged with a much wider river in the lowlands.  Then she turned left and followed this mighty river upstream until she reached the point where 2 rivers of equal size flowed together, one coming from the South and the other coming from the West.  She touched down gracefully at the very point where both rivers flowed together, and at that sacred place two elder witches were waiting for her.  After the customary group hug, the 3 witches started a series of mystic ceremonies and ecstatic dances.  The elder witches were very happy to see that the little witch was already 13 months pregnant (which is roughly the halfway point for witches).  They all knew that mother earth needed many more witches to protect all forests, so they were really delighted that soon a baby witch would strengthen their ranks.  Unlike the previous covens (when she was sleeping blissfully through the whole thing), the unborn witch was very active and was moving and kicking around a lot in the perfect safety of her mom’s womb, until she stopped suddenly.  At that time the 3 witches were meditating on a patch of lush green grass near the very point where both rivers merged, when all of a sudden a beautiful little white flower popped up from under the grass.  During the next few minutes, circle after circle of daisies appeared out of nowhere around that little flower.  Eventually, there were 11 concentric circles of beautiful daisies, while a bunch of colorful butterflies whirled merrily above these flowers.  Then it dawned to all 3 witches that the little unborn witch had just chosen the very spot where she wanted to be born.  The little witch couldn’t utter a word and had great eyes from amazement, while the elder witches looked at her tenderly and smiled, looking forward to the day this promising new witch would be born on this very spot.  The three women stood up and cautiously made a slow-motion dance around the concentric circles of daisies, making sure not to trample one of the fragile little flowers, while they all could connect with the energy of this newly created power spot…

I played this 'Enchanted Forest' mix live for my music family at Thethursdaynightshow.com and also decided to share my sound (and my lasers and myself🧚‍♀️)on Instagram, which I had not done for a while.
I am not a huge fan of livestreaming as I feel that playing music is about getting the collective energy flowing and being on my own is tricky... 
So I wanted to thank my Sonic Soulmates for tuning in and giving me a glimpse of what we had before this virus, and hopefully, with some patience, what we will be able to experience again as soon as possible!
