Michal's passion for techno music started playing with vinyls. The heavy sounds extracted from the black plastic disc inspired him to do more, to go a step further and create his own music. Since then he experimented with a lot of genres of electronic music, to find his own path. He sought inspiration in crowded cities and the correlation of nature with industrialized society. Today, his performances are consisting entirely of the original productions, where you will find a rich mixture of dense industrial atmosphere, off beats sounds and dub techno elements driven by energetic kick.

Philipp Drube is a Berlin based artist and resident of the Ismus series. His current style focuses mainly on straight forward Techno and Trance music. Starting with running own events in Hamburg around 2011, he moved to Berlin in 2013 and became part of the Ismus collective in 2015. Subsequently, he gained experience playing at clubs like Tresor, About Blank, Griessmühle, Suicide Circus or Arena Club in Berlin, and Uebel & Gefährlich or PAL in Hamburg.

His passion for techno music initiated when he was in Berlin four years ago to study. EXIX was amazed by the power of rave culture there, and wanted to create a similar story in Istanbul. That brings us to the COUP story, which is a local techno community/label founded by EXIX and  two friends, Becky FR and DJ Mirket, one and a half year ago. As a DJ and a passionate raver, he always prefer high BPMs accompanied by strong kicks and distorted sounds. He also likes to use some hypnotic minimal elements, which you will notice when you listen this powerful mix!

Hey Guys, 

I scrolled through my recordbox last night and created a folder for this afternoon. Just a little freestyle session but I liked the result. I played a lot of this tracks only one/two times or never in the club. It was awesome for me to play well below 140 BPM again. Atmospheric, deep, with a lot of percussion or some breakbeat. In times of the lockdown, I just come back to playing other sounds. I love the industrial rave music (there will be another set, too soon) but for me there is a lot more than that. I hope you like it.
