David herrera aka dark saw is a producer from cuenca in ecuador half of the world his life has always been connected to music playing different instruments from an early age. At 16 he began attending raves in which he met the minus crew (Magda, Marc Houle, Troy pierce, Gaiser , Richie hawtin) which would mark his taste for minimal techno. At the age of 18 he left his country and went to study in Buenos Aires Argentina at the Sonica school where he studied music producer. In that country he attends festivals and parties always in the line of minimal techno. He returns to his country and starts his project david herrera doing house deep house and techno. In the pandemic he decides to change his artistic name focused only on minimal techno that is where Dark Saw is born during the pandemic he produces a lot of music which reaches the great German Symbiostic label that is the moment in which David's career takes off. It's been a year since David created his Dark Saw project coming out on labels like Amped (Peku) Child, Joker black label, Subtrail and his music has been remixed by Peku, Code9, Benetia vero. In the future he has several pending releases and collabs with big names in world minimal techno.

Sebastian was born in 1981 in Frankfurt am Main / Germany and got in touch with electronic music in 1993 when techno was still a very small underground movement. The brother of one of his best friends was going djing and producing some beats with the very very first computer softwares that was out at this time. Sebastian was fascinated by the sound but also the technical aspect about this scene. How are all these crazy noises been created? What kind of instrument give you the possibility to come up with these acid sounds? He started by creating beats, loops and later first tracks.

In the age of 16 he got in touch with a drum n base dj - who teaches him the basic skills of djing. Quickly a first simple mixer and two turntables were bought. From than Sebastian spent a lot of his free time in record stores. Always looking for fascinating beats. He started by spinning also drum n base grooves. In 1997 (he was 16) he visited the very first time the legendary techno club Omen (hosted 10years by Sven Väth in the heart of Frankfurt am Main). After the first night at the Club, he knew that from now on he would on techno only! One very special night for him at the Omen was when Sven Väth invited Richie Hawtin. Sebastian was dancing all night long to Hawtin’s sets. Everywhere in Germany where he was playing he tried to be there. Of course he quickly also got in contact with the Richie’s Plastikman project that inspires him until today.

Two years later (the Omen club was already closed) the nightlife scene in Frankfurt was becoming to0 small to him - so he decided to moved to Berlin City. 
Getting into the scene was quite easy - the city was full of creative people. The vibe of techno was huge at this time.  In 2001 he decided to change his setup to play with 3 turntables, later he added a CDJ to get even more possibilities for creativity in his sets.

Franksen wirkt seit + zwei Dekaden in der elektronischen Musikszene Rhein-Main: als DJ, Producer, Radiostimme, Musikjournalist. Mit der „hr CLUBNIGHT“ war er lange Jahre Host und Resident-DJ der Mutter heimischer DJ-Radioshows. Seine Produktionen gibt es auf Deephouse und Techhouse Labels wie BAR25 Music, Houseworx, Suara, Dieb Audio, Lucidflow und weiteren - auf Vinyl und digital. 

Ende 2022 gründete er sein Deephouse- und Electronica-Label TRACK ALLIANCE. Hier liefert er diverse Grooves von Deephouse und DubTechno zu Downtempo ab. Mit seiner typisch elastischen und dauergroovenden Handschrift, beim Producing wie in seinen Sets. 

Neben den geraden Beats etablierte Franksen in Rhein-Main mit „Knietief In Beats“ (KIB)  eine der dienstältesten Drum-n-Bass Event-Reihen der Nation. Für seinen D&B-Gig im Mainzer „SCHICK“ (230923), und auch sonst für alle relaxten Tage oder Abende, hat er uns für den SCHICKcast eine lässige musikalische Mischung aus Liquid-,  Jungle- und D&B-Classics mit viel Charakter gezaubert. Hier ein paar handverlesene goodies, dort notwendige Gassenhauer – dazu ewig gehütete Dubplates, versteht sich. Ein Mix, der immer wieder begleiten kann. Und wird. Genießt diesen joyful Groove à a la Franksen!
