They say warming up is an art—like making the perfect espresso: strong enough to wake you up, but smooth enough not to send you into another dimension. So here’s my carefully brewed selection of grooves, hypnotic loops, and just the right amount of oomph to get things simmering before Dax J took over and set the place on fire (figuratively, of course).

Expect deep, rolling energy, a few sneaky surprises, and absolutely zero requests taken (unless it’s for “play it again”). Hit play, close your eyes, and pretend you’re already two drinks in, nodding your head like you definitely understand what the DJ is doing.

Full recording of my fully improvised performance at Lehmann Club Stuttgart. Gotta admit, I struggled quite a bit to balance effects like reverb and delay in the mix. You can also really hear how tricky it can be to keep the energy up with certain elements in a club setting. That being said, the recording is still usable, and I think it’s pretty listenable overall!

ABS8LUTE is a French DJ and music activist known for her hypnotic and percussive techno style. She draws from her Caribbean heritage the ability to create a unique multi-layered primitive atmosphere with an irresistible groove that won’t give the dancers any rest.
Her influence extends beyond the clubs as she is a strong advocate for the representation of women and minorities in electronic music. She founded the Vénus Club, a feminist collective promoting FLINTA DJs and gives DJ workshops to empower marginalized communities. She is also one of the Artistic Director of forward-thinking Parisian collective Kluster.
Her distinctive rhythmic approach has secured her a place on impressive line-ups as well as regular appearances at notorious Berghain.

Katire explores a wide range of genres, but techno has always been a core element in his journey through electronic music. His sound is rooted in textured landscapes, raw sonics, dub-infused synths, and melodic layers. He is part of Malaonda, a label that leans toward groove-driven techno, while also developing new projects that revolve around dub techno, house, and raw, stripped-down rhythms.For this occasion, he presents a warm-up set that flows from deep dubby techno to uplifting melodic moments, weaving through grooves and immersive textures along the way.

Planet Rhythm is the longstanding Rotterdam label that was founded in the early 1990s, and is still going strong after releasing music by a number of well-known musicians, including Bas Mooy, Sleeparchive, Oscar Mulero, TWR72, Adam Beyer, Woo York, and many more.

Belgium is the home of FAÏG, and the upcoming talent returns to Planet Rhythm for his 'New Chapter' EP, which follows production appearances on Arnaud Le Texier's Children of Tomorrow, Kaiser's K S R, Ricardo Garduno's Illegal Alien, and Coyu's Suara.

For this DT:Premiere we selected "Wandering Soul" that's a percussive workout. The punchy raw groove has throbbing bassline and undulating modular tones for a mechanical and mystical ride of classic style.
