Long an unsung hero of the underground, Langenberg (a.k.a Max Heesen) has a string of quality releases to his name, both on his own solo as a part of his Ribn moniker with Manuel Tur. This outing on Dessous Recordings provides yet another string to his bow; 'Shadows' is a supremely soulful outing featuring the vocal talents of Blakkat. Liquid deep and balanced perfectly between euphoric and melancholic, 'Shadow' sees Mark Bell (Blakkat) deliver an emotional invocation over a beautifully crafted track, with echoes of the master Larry Heard clearly present. 

Also included in the release are three extraordinary remixes - UK legend Atjazz providing a sumptuously realized fusion of melody and driving, dancefloor urgency - both as a vocal and instrumental version.

Brooklyn’s house veterans Frank & Tony (Scissor & THread) drop a huge remix of their own to complete the package – serving up their distinctive and timeless NYC deep and raw vibes to complement Langenberg’s original fully.

WhoMadeWho’s sensational track ‚Hi & Low‘ has already had a couple rounds of remixes, but it’s so good we thought we’d give it another go. This time we called on the fans via WAVO for their thoughts, as well as passing it over to our friends T.M.A. and Maook. First up is the boys of T.M.A., Patrick, Steven and Max, who spin their trademark sunshine-house sound into gold. Warm tones, a solid percussion and beautiful pads make this remix a treat to listen to. Next is Maook who turns up the heat a bit and delivers an electronic hustle worthy of the late night dancefloor. Synths abound, rhythmic and dirty give the track a gritty feel. Next is the remix winner Macropsia, who’s almost disco-y remix puts a smile on our faces with its feel-good vibe and undeniable dance-ability. i realize and very much indulge in how ridiculous and audacious this sounds, but i covered a broadway song from les miserables this weekend.. why would i further fuel and confuse my enemies and skeptics with more of the inexplicable and convoluted? well because clearly i'm a hopeless romantic and instead of following rules and guidelines and actual "work" that could benefit my "life" will always by default opt to digress back into the inner child and pretend i'm invisible and can walk through walls in self celebrated hedonism and dark slanted musical benders. since the song so timelessly captures the ongoing theme of failed romances and burning bridges of any 30 something year old in the digital age (not naming names) also, i'm a summered out weirdo and deeply craving those gothic introspective autumn curtains to open already to transition out of this summer apocalyptic meltdown 2018 as masochistically enlightening as its been and all. so i'll shut up now and here's a free download. c

The score features a hybrid of the traditional M83 electronic sound combined with sweeping orchestral elements. It has 16 score cues, along with a brand new song by M83 featuring Norwegian singer-songwriter Susanne Sundfør used as the end title for the film.

HVOB have only just released their impressive debut album, but the next EP is already on the way: "Always Like This" is almost a tribute to the Vienna-based electronic duo's current wave of success.
Number 1 in the iTunes Dance Charts in Austria and number 3 in Germany, number 3 in the Beatport Deep House Charts – and HVOB's eponymous debut album continues to win the band critical acclaim in a success story which began when the first snippets appeared on Soundcloud a year ago. HVOB's Berlin-based label Stil vor Talent, which is no stranger to success, has been delighted by one of its best selling albums to date.
HVOB's third EP is scheduled for release on April 26 – and the track selection seems to be more than mere coincidence. "Always Like This" is an accurate reflection of the young Vienna electro duo's life right now. Anna Müller and Paul Wallner are "super happy" with the way things are going, busy as they are with all the live appearances in cities like Berlin, Paris and Istanbul, long nights spent in the studio and the formation of new partnerships: alongside Four Artists, Primary Talent, one of the world's major booking agencies, will in future be looking after the interests of HVOB.
"Always Like This" is the third single from the album "HVOB". HVOB's cover of the track by British indie rock band Bombay Bicycle Club mixes warm synth pads with soft beats, while Anna Müller's distinctive voice puts an entirely new spin on the melancholy of the original. Oliver Koletzki and Andhim have both made remixes of HVOB's interpretation of "Always Like This": Oliver Koletzki's version is powerful, emotive and melodic, while Andhim's shows incredible attention to detail and is intensely deep and original.
HVOB, which stands for "Her Voice Over Boys", are Anna Müller and Paul Wallner, who formed the duo in spring 2012. Müller (composition, production, vocals) and Wallner (composition and final production) produce intelligent, sophisticated electronic music, which is both easy to listen or dance to. The Vienna duo, who favour live on-stage performances with the backing of a drummer, will be appearing at the Donaufestival in Krems, Lower Austria, the Lighthouse Festival on the Lanterna peninsula (Porec, Croatia), the Pratersauna in Vienna, the Übel & Gefährlich in Hamburg and the Ninkasi in Lyon.
