We pull the curtain on 2014 through the second volume in our "All Stars" compilation series. We're proud to look back and excited to look forward to what we like to call 'high quality eclectic electronic music' - a quite elusive term for what we've been looking for and promoting since day one. 

We always conclude that each year has been the biggest and most important in our artistic development and 2014 is no different. This year we've changed pretty much everything - from our logo to our approach - bringing 3 new imprints to life as to further encourage the growth of each sonic pallete among like-minded artists and followers.

We showcased our selection of the best 100 tracks released by and within the Origami Sound collective of artists and labels through the "2 Years" compilation, which also marked the end of free/donation-based releases. 
"All Stars: Volume 1" celebrated our fanbase growth and was a testament to the variety of music that we became passionate about over the years. 

"All Stars: Volume 2" brings together 5 previously released tracks and 5 exclusive contributions into a mission statement that is better heard then read. We're looking at a really classy 2015 on all fronts with lots of surprising releases from both new and highly established artists, most of which will also see a physical release.

Kastle heads back on the road this winter on the Hyperreality Tour -- an exploration of experience. He will be journaling his travels with the help of Infinite Legroom through photos and personal musings while digging into the heart of each city. The Bourdain of bass music.

Over the past 8 years or so we have had, along with Theo Parrish, the honour of playing the monthly residencies at a small basement club in Shoreditch, London with an impeccable sound system. After 20 years of operation, it was time to move on and close the doors on a place that has a lot to answer for in shaping modern club culture. To say this space along with the owner Ade’s singular vision was fundamental in our personal musical formation would be a complete understatement. 
 
On the day of their closing, manager Charlotte asked us if we’d put the system through its paces for the last time that the club would be open to the public. We set about packing the anthems from our respective residencies and on the night once the people were through the doors played 2 records in turn for the rest of the dance. We included tracks of our own and of friends that were made with that place in mind. Records like Daphni - Ye Ye and Four Tet - Pinnacles were made to first be played at Kieran’s nights there, and the Floating Points - Vacuum EP was born out of the CD-R night at the club, and its launch party was the trigger for Sam’s monthly residency.
 
We set this recording up just before the start of the night and unfortunately it distorts in places, but we make no apology for how joyfully noisy people get! The vibe in the room this night was typical of the club on any given night and we hope this recording captures just a fraction of the spirit of a Plastic People night.
 
A massive thank you from us to everyone that has come down to the nights over the years and supported our music there. We are truly humbled to have shared the music we love with people at this place, and your energy in turn has influenced the way we make music on an unfathomable scale. We also thank the bosses Charlotte Kepel and Ade Fakile for inviting us to the club and having faith in us over  these years! All the best for the future!

Slick Shoota presents a four track EP of straight up jungle weapons for your digital crates. Including his infamous War Dub finally being available to download, you also get three other choice cuts. With their repetetive vocal chops and frenetic percussion, Slick still maintains a nod towards the footwork scene with “Hardcore Junglist” and “Watch Me”. “Supa Sharp” on the other hand will sound familiar with it’s bassline reminiscing one of the biggest jungle classics, DJ Zinc’s Super Sharp Shooter, and is sure to keep the energy levels peaking.

This one is from UK based label Modern Ruin Records with their 2 powerhouses Sideswipe and BSN Posse.

UK producer Sideswipe is a staple in the 160/footwork movement. With running his own label 160 Philly and hosting parties in Philadelphia, he still manages to find the time to produce bangers. 

On the other side of the pond Spanish Producers BSN Posse are flying the footwork and juke flag. With an international fan base, BSN Posse are the new wave of producers keeping the sound of footwork and juke alive.

Supporting this album will help me to support my family and pay the bills whilst I face highly uncertain times without money from live gigs coming in. As is well documented, the streaming effect on the industry has made live shows the most vital part of earning for musicians and we all need to be pro-active in securing a future doing what we love until things start to become more clear through the clouds of this global crisis.

I thank you all for supporting me and this release and I hope you enjoy the tracks - as ancient and rare as some of them are I can accept they might not be fully representative of what I'd like to be releasing right now but I'm working on that in the meantime!
