Popping in here with a wee update from the Hushlamb camp.  After 10 + years of throwing music focused events, radio and nurturing our label project we have decided to take an undetermined pause.  We have always moved based on creative spark and flow.  We held this philosophy dear as it kept us in our groove and our truth in all things music and vibe.  It' s from this same place that we are moving these days - each in our own grooves; each in loving awareness for where we are at and openness to what is next on our paths.. 

Music remains at the heart of Hushlamb and the day may come where we spark it up again.  In the meantime, we give this closing Free Range set and a world of gratitude to all those who have graced our dance floors, shared their wonderful creative energy with us as a crew and in their music contributions (too many to name here) which have been, in our humble opinion, hella GOOD!

Hungarian producer Laurine Frost dedicates exclusive mixtape to the memory of Evelyn McHale, who leapt to her death from the Empire State Building in 1947. 

At 1st of May,  10:40 AM the young and pretty Evelyn leaped from the 86th-floor observatory and landed on the roof of a United Nations limousine parked on the street below. Her calmly elegant demeanor, her legs crossed at the ankles, the way the car’s metal folded like sheets and framed her head and arms - perhaps these were the reasons that McHale’s death was given its title as “the most beautiful suicide.” When she died, she was still wearing her pearls and white gloves, her body looked intact . Stunned by her beauty, even in death, Robert C. Wiles snapped the iconic photo of her just 4 minutes after her crash. 
After decades she still lives on through that iconic photo of her final moment. Evelyn's mystical personality and the romance of her story inspired Laurine Frost to recall her last days and visualize her thoughts to the listeners in a theatrical and musically ecletic „soundtrack”.

Jos lok is a Techno and House producer from Groningen, the Netherlands.
Jos Lok is a DJ and producer residing in the beautiful city of Groningen, the Netherlands. Jos has been obsessed with rhythmical sounds from a young age. He naturally started moving his feet or nodding his head when hearing even a hint of groove. Not only catchy percussion caught his attention, deep emotional chords and melodies were also very welcome. As a result of his encompassing love for music, Jos started playing the drums when he was nine years old. After a few years of going through the metal music repertoire and playing in a band he acquired a new taste in music. His focus was redirected to Techno music back when he first entered the club and festival scene. Evidently, he started producing his own Techno and House. A stripped down beat, groovy bass and just the right chords or another melodic component is the perfect formula for inspiration for Jos.
Nowadays, Jos Lok manages to make a wonderful blend of minimalistic sounds and House music. His style can be distinctly categorised by its aim for innovation. His tracks can be described as a colourful story that progresses into a strong groove. His music has been released on labels such as Archipel and Vivus records. Jos Lok receives support from artist like Pheek, Christhoper Ledger, David Gtronic and Noah Skelton.
