@officialalibi is the alias of Brazilian Drum and Bass producer and DJ Fabio Jesus. Hailing from São Paulo and now based in Vienna, Austria, he has built an extensive and respected catalogue, collaborating with major names like DJ Marky and S.P.Y. 

Alibi started out as a duo with fellow Brazilian producer Level 2, and became Fabio’s solo project in 2014. Since 2015, he’s been a regular at the renowned SUNANDBASS festival, one of the most sought after Drum and Bass events in the world.

His music has been released on top labels like Hospital Records, DARKMTTR, and Innerground, with support from legends including Break, Roni Size, and Bryan Gee.

Call it futurestep. Call it deepstep. Call it autonomic. Call it whatever you wish, but one thing is for sure – Hidden Element hailing straight from Kiev, Ukraine fail to make their music disappoint. With a fresh take on electronic sounds ranging from breathtaking beatless layers to +/- 170 BPM heavy hitters, these two have been making waves in the industry for some time already, releasing on 22:22, Alphacut, Med School, Pinecone Moonshine and Translation – to name a few. But it is Absys Records that is the home for their full-length album entitled “Together”. The release is a collection of 13 amazing pieces of work, each hitting a slightly different tone, but making a wonderfully coherent whole.


An entity that is enjoyed best when all of its components are played together, as the title suggests. The album focuses in majority on a rather home-listening experience, with tracks like “Aura” or “The Night” setting the pace for a pleasant evening chill and boosting the laid-back mood even further with “Quite Place” or “Without You” - both infused with lovely vocals – that can serve well as modern-day lullabies. But there are also more lively accents (“Long Way Home”, “Who Knows”), traces of live instrumentation (“The Next Day”), or ambient (“Bridge”). All in all, you get a fantastic cross-section of contemporary electronic music, a masterfully composed package of nothing but pure listening pleasure.

Symmetry are proud to present the 'In Your Soul' EP from hot new Bristol duo – Ill Truth. Their production style and engineering techniques were right up our street at Symmetry, so we're pleased to be able to showcase an EP of their skills. On the title track Ill Truth teamed up with Satl and vocalist Charli Brix to create a soulful and deep vocal roller. The other 3 tracks showcase Ill Truth's diverse yet consistent production style with 'Tear Up', a dubby, weighty half step head nodder. 'Discover' and 'After Hours' show off their talent for creating subtle but powerful dance-floor ammo with a techy and grooving edge.

His trusted skills have been reigned in to remix seminal drum & bass classics including Shy FX’s ‘Bambaata’, Die’s ‘Clear Skyz’, Commix’s ‘Talk to Frank’ and Ram Trilogy’s ‘Gridlock’ as well as Bloc Party’s UK top-5 hit ‘The Prayer’.

Equally praised for his DJ skills, Break maintains a consistent touring schedule that sees him playing across the globe on a weekly basis on the stages of the world’s biggest drum & bass institutions; from Fabric, Detonate, Bedlam, Warning, Metalheadz and Hospitality in the UK to the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and the breadth of Europe, playing headline shows or back2back sets with the likes of Die, Goldie and Dillinja.

Launching his own label, Symmetry Recordings in 2006, Break honed and polished his sound with each single and released his fist album, also entitled ‘Symmetry’ in 2008. Featuring forays into ambient, dubstep, funk, hip hop, house and soul amongst an arsenal of sure-fire drum & bass, ‘Symmetry’ earned Break an army of new fans from outside the d&b world with tracks picked up by the likes of techno legends Laurent Garnier and Josh Wink. 

Two years later Break has risen the bar further still via his second LP; ‘Resistance’. Featuring collaborations with No U-Turn mastermind Nico, Bristol’s DJ Die, super-duo Calyx & Teebee, DNAudio cohorts Silent Witness and Survival, Shogun Audio’s SpectraSoul and vocalists Kyo and SP:MC, the album offers a glorious journey through the spectrum of Break’s styles and influences and a clear indication of where his talents will lead him next. 

The next chapter for Break is signing new exciting artists to coincide with his own output on the label. Keep a keen eye on Symmetry as this is the label for the real sounds of Drum & Bass, absolutely no compromise.
