Born in Buenos Aires and currently based in Montreal (CA), Jaijiu is an audiovisual artist influenced by the Argentine club sound, as well as its folklore and cumbia. His productions approach the rhythm in an edgy way, mixing his roots with current influences.

This release is intended for an imaginary and confined dance floor. It is danceable, while groundbreaking and uncomfortable, as the audio is pushed to the limit in search of drowning out all thoughts in volume and excess. In Jaijiu's words, “the louder it gets, the less I hear what's in my head.”

“42 AM” captures the distorted sound of our previous releases, but also brings kuduro, Latin music and noise to the table. It will be available as digital download via Nodo Label.

inspiré par la thématique "Heartbreak" proposée par NTS, j'ai voulu proposé une histoire de ruptures sauf que j'ai pas voulu payer un abonnement mensuel pour soumettre mon mix @nts et attendre une forme de validation dans l'expectative qu'il soit publié dans deux mois... 
j'avais envie de partagé tout de suite le mood, le taff.

RUPTURES / Au pluriel car ce mix est imaginé comme une réponse musicale à la sensation de rupture, choc direct ou par ondes successives violentes, tel un écho...

Rupture amoureuse, rupture générationnelle, rupture civilisationnelle, rupture climatique, rupture musicale...

c'est un voyage ou l'intensité de la solitude et du froid intense laisse  place à des moments plus optimistes, évoquant une lumière rassurante, lumière estivale attendue ou lumière de deux corps amoureux qui (se) réchauffent et (s')allègent l'âme.
atmosphère glaciale d'un voyage subit ou d'un voyage choisi, n'oublions pas l'humour. L'amour.
atmosphère brulante qui nous fait penser aux joutes amicales de dancefloor crasseux, ou à des coïts fulgurants presque oubliés...

De la même manière que le sujet sort de la rupture amoureuse, fracassé, tendu, vide, triste... nous sortons de l'hiver.
