Sedvs joins for DifferentSound Podcast #202.

Hailing from Vienna, Sedvs constantly deepens his excursions and elaborates his sound with every release. Undeniably influenced by the mangled sound of the UK, the founding member of Bare Hands Records takes cues from the motor city’s funk, leading to his very own sonic interpretation, reflected in themes of manic repetition, complex rhythms, driving percussion and meticulous sequencing in his own tracks as well as his high-octane DJ Sets. Apart from his regular contribution to the viennese music and clubbing scene, Sedvs has been acclaimed on the international stage with his music. With ”Paradise Lost” he lately released his first LP on Bare Hands.

She actively experiments and gains experience, constantly pushing the boundaries of her creativity."

Cintia Martís is a Galician DJ from Ribeira (La Coruña).

Her musical journey began as a teenager as a clubber and at the age of 24, she started working as a dj in her community, touring a large number of localities and electronic music parties. Today, at the age of 29, you can find her sets in both digital and 12" formats, often including both formats together. Since 2023, Cintia has a residency with the collective and label Phase Ctv.

Musically, she defines herself as forceful and instrospective, looking for the line and coherence within her sets and flooding them with bizarre sounds, melodies and loops where she even recognizes sometimes to look for repetitive loops with her mixes but at the same time very dynamic.

My next guest on Yax Invites is Toltech. 

Carlos, aka Toltech, is a disciple of the old-school Montréal techno scene, who seamlessly blends Mesoamerican influences with a spectrum of techno styles, from hypnotic, industrial and raw to funky and hardgroove. His music is meant to guide listeners through a range of moods, from somber, hypnotic rhythms to vibrant grooves such as that, before you know it, has gotten your body to move.

"This nearly 2-hour mix is a journey through the diverse range of techno sounds I stand for, featuring a few of my own studio productions. - This is my first release, and with it, I want to share not just music, but an honest part of myself.
I didn’t follow any rules or stick to a specific genre while creating it—I simply let my thoughts, emotions, and sonic obsessions speak for themselves. Every sound here was crafted with the intention of gradually shaping what will become my sound, my identity.

This project is the first step on a path that’s just beginning. I know there’s still a lot to improve, but I also know that everything you hear here was made with passion, dedication, and a fully self-taught process.

More music will come this year, but this EP… this one is special.

No seguí reglas ni géneros al componerlo; simplemente dejé que mis pensamientos, emociones y obsesiones sonoras hablaran por sí solos. Cada sonido está con la intención de acercarme poco a poco a lo que será mi sonido, mi identidad.

Este proyecto es el primer paso de un camino que apenas comienza. Sé que hay mucho por mejorar, pero también sé que todo lo que está aquí lo hice con pasión, con dedicación y desde un aprendizaje completamente autónomo.

Este año vendrá más música, pero este EP... este es especial.
