Keith Carnal returns to his Second Degree label with an impressive four track EP, encompassing a hypnotic & atmospheric sound, but at a higher tempo.

Keith Carnal has been pushing out high octane techno records for the last decade, featuring on labels such as Arts & Bpitch, Keith has assembled an impressive discography. The Amsterdam producer has found himself remixing for industry titan’s such as Ellen Alien, CJ Bolland & more.

Carnal also helms his Second Degree imprint, launched in late 2018 and home to his own solo material. Following on from the labels impressive fifth instalment earlier this year, he returns to round out the year on home turf as he drops four new productions combining slick grooves and infectious vocals with his signature tough yet vibrant sonics.

We premiere the A1, ‘Chauvanistic Pigs’, a hypnotic symphony, the entrancing cut is busting with pacy drums and icy hats as they guide tripped out vocals and warping synths.

This track should be in every techno DJs arsenal, a perfect hypnotic, vocal, tool for the dance floor.

Limbo is a track I made in 2021 at the SAE Amsterdam Studios using Ableton with PUSH 3 and Virus synths. I was inspired to create a non dance floor, cathartic track being largely affected by the lockdowns and my personal situation. I often found myself in Limbo, a strange sense of non belonging, no perspective and uncertainty about the future of Electronic Music, do's and live performances. Also an ambivalent friendship I had hoped to turn into a deeper connection that ws leading nowhere. with distance and perspective from now the track perfectly transcribe what I ws feeling at that time. Nostalgic feelings with a sense of hope. early 2023 Alix Marie a renowned sound engineer co-owning a label with Kriss Did in Paris France approached me and asked me to send him demo's. The rest is now history as my certification track is finally out there in the world. Something that made us the SAE team proud.

Thomas Klaps, professionally known as 𝐊𝐥𝐚𝐩𝐬, is a Belgian DJ and techno producer hailing from 𝐁𝐞𝐥𝐠𝐢𝐮𝐦, and currently residing in 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧. His passion for electronic music ignited at the age of eight when his father gifted him a record player, marking the beginning of his musical journey.

Synatec is a French-born, Amsterdam-based DJ with a rich history in electronic music. While studying Arts in Paris she became widely Influenced by artists like Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode, and EBM bands, she began DJing in the mid-90s, with her early sound shaped by labels like R&S and Warp. Her career took off in Paris, where she explored international industrial sounds. She later co-founded the B.A.S.S. collective, which was one of the first all-female DJ groups, inspiring many women in the rave scene.

Synatec's journey includes various DJ aliases, such as Witchcraft for Hardcore Techno and Nuala for Jungle/Drum'n Bass. She gained success in the Benelux, Germany, and Israel, and B.A.S.S performed at the renowned Lowlands festival. After a brief hiatus, she returned to Drum’n Bass in Amsterdam, followed by a shift back to her Techno and Electro roots. During the pandemic, she pursued certification in Electronic Music Production and relaunched her career through live streams and events.

In 2024, Synatec joined the DAMN TECHNO organization, organizing events to unite old-school and new-school techno communities. Her style is versatile, blending UK Breaks, Jungle, Techno, Hardcore, and Electro. Recently, she released "Limbo" on Da Traxx Recordings PARIS and had upcoming projects like “Missing Pieces” on Cherry Juice Recordings. Synatec continues to perform across Europe, including residencies in Amsterdam.
