the song really isn't about heartbreak itself, but the false reality that one encapsulates themselves in after falling in love and then being heartbroken. they think everything is a perfect paradise until it all goes away. the sudden withdrawal wants them begging for that person to be back. this song is about the lonely and miserable aftermath of love.
