BIO: One of the founding members of Simpler Times Events in San Diego, Psilovybe has been DJing and producing events since 2010. He is known for his dark psychedelic sets, playing techno, progressive, psytrance, trance, drum n bass, and breaks. While usually being spotted turning up dust in the Mojave desert, he has also been seen playing tunes as far north as Mount Shasta and east in Las Vegas. Early this year, Psilovybe was added as a resident DJ for the Desert Escape crew. With a wide range of sounds, he is prepared to bring the weirdness at any hour!

With a heart full of gratitude I present the live recording of this progressive & melodic techno set that ripped through the cold desert air at 3:30am. This full moon gathering was one for the books, with top notch music from start to finish and incredibly connected, healing energies and interactions with so many close friends from our tribe. We also danced to remember and celebrate our dear friend Andy Friedman who we lost this month.

California Summer 2022

WOW Moontribe turned 29 this year and still going strong! Who woulda thought our little full moon gatherings we started in 1993 would have become what it has become? Well I did, I knew it from the start! 

I had the honor of playing a 7 hour set to close it all out too!!! 7 fricken' hours!!! Ok well the last hour is definitely me just playing random songs I love for my friends (even thru in a Phil Collins track!), but that first 6 hours was pretty serious stuff!!! I started at around 10am and playing until 5pm ish. I hope you enjoy the journey!!!

This is a live recording of a set I played in the forest for Tropical's  Bring Love Back to Oregon Summer Campout in June 2022.

I was filling in on late notice for a DJ who was unable to make it, so this set is 100% on the fly. 

Wiggles were in order, as the lineup was all dance music - I had a lot of fun bringing my version of wiggles to this set.

I know its a little over due... but here is my set from How Weird Street Faire 2021 on the Pulse SF stage. Easily one of the favorite moments in my DJ career. There was some serious magic partying in downtown SF with all those beautiful people.

Playing at Moontribe for sunrise was such a great experience. The dance floor came alive and was in full force! Put the moon to bed and woke up the Sun! We danced and danced!   I loved every second of this set! I started off with some hard techno and went into some psychedelic techno with groovy colorful textures...as the predawn colors emerged I dropped a few breaks tracks to switch it up and to welcome the Sun. Finished it off with some deep melodic stuff that had us all hugging and filled with bliss. It was one of the best moments of my life and the memories will be cherished forever.
