Whilst a new name to many, Acuna had his first release on Chronic way back in 2009! After a long hiatus from D&B and making music he returned with a fresh energy in 2020 and we're really excited about the sounds coming out of his studio. This brand new EP perfectly captures why we're tipping Acuna as a breakthrough name in 2021; the combination of gritty dancefloor basslines, sweet soulful vocals and collaborations with L-Side, 2Shy and David Boomah make this an all-star cast and cement his return. 

Hailing from Sao Paulo, Brazil and part of a tight knit group of friends who have burst on to the scene like Alibi (DJ Chap & Level 2), L-Side, Critycal Dub (which he was an original member), Andrezz and more, Acuna is making waves now in his own right and this EP will be on heavy rotation all summer long!

If there is anything that can ruin a vibe it is a big ego. It can get in the way of people having fun by keeping their guard up, it can lead to sticky situations by letting someone's pride get the better of them and overall it just isn't good for anyone. 'Ego No More' looks to explore how dropping the ego can lead to love in the scene and acceptance for all. The track features a classic Dub Majesty reggae inspired intro, rolling percussions and a catchy bassline. Perfect for any party.

Liondub presents the 3rd single taken from DJ Hybrid’s forthcoming LP “Diary Of An Everyday Junglist”. Hybrid joins forces with the ever-talented Rider Shafique to offer up “Rougher Than Rough,” a brilliant roller that starts with emotive piano and pads, but then rises quickly with hard hitting 808 energy and a dark vocal warning from Rider about the perils of street life. On the drop, rolling modern drums kick in and are accentuated perfectly by Hybrid’s amen edits and modulated top bass drones. On the flip is the updated 2021 remix of “Shockin Out”, a stand out Jungle banger that released 3 years ago on Liondub’s Street Series. 

The full LP has been crafted by the Coventry based artist over 2 years, and features a legendary array of collaborators; it’s a massive undertaking that is both musically moving, and historically relevant as it marks the unity between two label heads and leaders in the UK & US Jungle Drum & Bass scene.

Having a cameo appearance on 'Club Sessions Vol. 7', plus their first solo release on Liquid V ‘Step It To 'Em (Booyaka) / Run Dis’, Unkoded make their Chronic debut.

The ‘Selection Box’ EP is evidence of their shift towards a more dancefloor focused sound with amen-slapping tracks such as ‘Truss’ and ‘Inna Jungle’, but with tracks such as ‘Wax It’ showing they’re still dedicated on keeping the groove locked.

Respected artists within their own rights, Kodan and Unkut have previously released on major labels such as Ram, Solvent, Liquid V and Full Cycle and are now joining forces as 'Unkoded' to deliver their own take on soulful, rolling jungle.
