Dying

I dedicated the song "Monique" to two women: 
First of all to my grand aunt Monique, who was murdered as a Jew by the Nazis in Auschwitz. I know her only from photos and the anecdotes of my mother. Through her tragic life story, her unique face with the big, jet-black eyes, I still feel connected to her today. 
In this song I imagined meeting her shortly before her gassing in Auschwitz. How I accompanied her to the gas chambers, how we got to know each other a little before the inevitable happened.  
      
Secondly, this song is dedicated to another Monique. Her stage name was "Barbara" and she was a charismatic French chanson singer. What would I have given to be at one of her concerts. But when she had her big time, especially in the 1960s, I was still much too young. So all I have left are their Youtube videos, of which I would like to put a link here:

Her face and her eyes, her charisma and expression remind me so much of my grand aunt.  Like her, she was a Jewish woman of French descent. And with songs like "Göttingen" she contributed significantly to an understanding between the Jews and the land of the perpetrators- Germany.

This weekned we are in Australia 🇦🇺 and meeting DJ and producer Beatcuddles. He started his musical journey in the Australian & UK dance scene back in the early 90s, playing at underground parties and clubs in Melbourne & London. After a seven-year hiatus, playing only private events, He started to compose and produce original electronic music in 2007. But, it wasn’t until 2015 that he began to take music production seriously and make it his main creative focus.
Since then he've been developing his knowledge in music production and composing original material. And in late 2020 he’ll be releasing a discography mix of all his compositions. Today, he mainly enjoy mixing deep beats and some of his favourite labels include: Get Physical Music, Systematic Colours, Dirty Bird, Canopy Sounds, Solid Grooves Records, Strictly Rhythm, Shanty Radio Moscow, Permanent Vacation, Defected Records, Soave and Kittball.

Today we present you one of our fav. female DJ´s - Boriso from Mexico. She deliverd great, versatile sets in the past, so we asked her to put some tunes on her tables again for our Drehmomente Series. No matter how old or how long she´s into it, cool skillz are given or not. Hear the proof of it, play it loud!


El amor de Boriso por la música comenzó temprano en su vida, y a la edad de 17 años, amigos cercanos la motivaron a comenzar a crear sus propias mezclas. Muy influenciado por los sonidos profundos de sellos como All Day I Dream, Akbal Music, Shanti Moscow Radio, Tale & Tone, Anjunadeep y 3RD Avenue, Boriso ha desarrollado un sonido característico orgánico único.
A lo largo de los años, se ha interesado cada vez más en la producción de música electrónica y en 2020 colaboró ​​con amigos y colegas musicales para crear un sello independiente: Triangle Strip Digital Audio, México. Esto le ha permitido concentrarse más en desarrollar sus conocimientos en la producción musical, con el apoyo del productor de techno [y buen amigo] Bessel Application.
