Could This Be has always been one of my favorites from Noisia. It came out around the time I was studying production and it inspired my love for drum production immensely as they have continued to do for many years. I'd written the original version of this track before I was asked to remix it and I've been through more versions than I can count as it morphed into the remix. I wanted to keep the main aesthetic and structure of the original with a completely re-synthesized idea and of course, lots of drums!! It's been a real honor to work with one of my favorite acts of all time, so thank you guys for the opportunity! And everyone else, I hope you enjoy it.

Those with a keen eye will have noticed we launched a new project in January – Elevations. Taking you on a trip around the globe visiting exciting up-and-coming talents, we kicked things off in Czech Republic with Ripple’s ”Feel’s Like”, and now we’re sailing over to Portugal for the next single, which sees Vowel and Jon Tho link up on “Crossroads”.

As two members of the Surveillance Music crew helping to drive the Portuguese D&B scene forward with their forward-thinking sonics, we couldn’t not get them to bring some flair to the album! Teaming up with the vocal talent of Lizzy Stringer – whose worked with names including DJ Limited and Westy – “Crossroads” is a guaranteed 2022 anthem, and a glimpse at the music diversity you can look forward to from the rest of Elevations.

This one feels like a fitting way to close out on what's been an absolutely insane year and also a bit more personal than some others songs as we wanted to translate our experience with the journey moving from Russia to France with our families. We started this collab with Skylark at his studio in Strasbourg in April this year right before moving and rendered the final version in our new home - in Toulouse.

As soon as it was ready we started playing it live and it quickly became one of our favourite parts of the set, so it felt right to get this one out before the end of the year.
