Synethia Burgess -Hill just released her Single, entitled, “I’m In Awe of You” from the EP entitled, ‘Lord Make Me Whiter Than Snow’ that will be released in ‘2013'. Synethia was born on the Westside of Chicago Il to Norma Burgess and Cornelius Shanklin. She attended Goldblatt Elementary School where she discovered she could bring people together thru music. She started singing and directing the church choir when she was 8 years old. She brought her skills to the Vocal Jubilee Choir at Westinghouse High School, (class of 91’), there she became section leader and lead singer.

Synethia’s gift does not stop there; she has been called upon on many occasions to be a guest Psalmist/Soloist at events such as festivities, conferences, weddings, funerals, prayer brunches, etc. Some of the highlights of her career has been being a guest on the New Gospel Star Showcase entitled, The Next Gospel Star with Dana Divine of WGCI, the Juneteenth Celebration in Garfield Park, at the Annual Taste Of Austin Fest in Columbus Park, Lifeline Church, West Point Baptist Church, Rock of Ages Baptist Church, Destiny Worship Center, Church of the Harvest and Peace Community Church of Frankfort IL, to name a few. She has ministered at the Mt. Sinai Hospital Woman’s Empowerment Conference, the Original Providence M.B Church Woman’s Conference, was a featured artist at a Christian Comedy Showcase, she is a regular guest every month for KB NIGHTS which is a Christian Showcase that features artist that want to take their ministries outside the four walls of the church. Synethia recently competed in the StandOut Gospel Talent Show where Stellar and Dove Award Winning Recording Artist Pastor Darius Brooks was the host. She has been the opening act for the Quartet Group The Gospel Crusaders. Synethia was recently interviewed by Elder James Lockhart who host a National Radio Show entitled, ‘Rhema Gospel Express’ in San Antonio, TX. God has blessed Synethia with her husband Deacon Christopher Hill and 2 beautiful children Christian who’s 12 years old and Chaniyah who’s 8 years old. Anointed and Appointed, Synethia is getting ready for the next step that God has for her life because she knows “A man’s gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men.” (Prov 18:16) “I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it” (Rev. 3:8).
