I thought this song would be suitable for the opening of the album. When I asked SeaShea for guitar, he not only contributed his usual electric guitar but also created some tracks with synthesizers. The song, initially incomplete, reached its completion through his efforts. Collaborating with him has been a fantastic experience.

'Into The Underworld' Synline=SeaShea

This is about how life is constantly presenting challenges. We must learn from each incident/experience and use that learning to try and be more resilient and be able to move forward. 
I wrote it on my 3/4 size Hofner classical guitar. It’s first song! I used open G tuning after being encouraged to try it by Mark Spruce (Original Spruce - great songs- give them a listen!). Thanks Mark!

If you feel like you’re getting old way before your time
And you’re shouting at kids to get off your lawn
And you’re sitting around just doing time
And you’re always complaining about how the good old days were so much better. Maybe you should take a journey to the past. 

The average human  lifespan in 1901 was 46.3
If you'd been around way back then, you'd be history.
If you lived in 1800 your dentist didn’t use Novocain
He  just drilled holes in your teeth while you tried to ignore the pain

If humans are still around in 2093
They’ll be thinking that that the here and now was the place to be 
I guess it’s human nature to think that the past was great
When you’re living in the present there’s so much you can hate

You could ride a bike with a banana seat with no helmet to protect your brain. You didn’t need to go through a metal detector before you got on a plane.

You could smoke cigarettes at work while sitting at your desk
And it didn't matter if your coworkers found the smell grotesque.

They say that if human’s destroy themselves 
The cockroaches will survive
They’ll evolve and gain intelligence and without us they will thrive
And someday they’ll look back to the days when they were sprayed by humans with raid
And they’ll think those were the good old days we had it made

People out there longing for the days when we didn’t have consumer protection
Whenever something went wrong they just chalked it up to natural selection

This song began with Artur composing the entire skeleton, and recording it against a mechanical beat. He presented it to Josh, who immediately shared it with The Eclectic Collective. Ken first replaced the metronomic beat with a real, rocking drum sound. Josh promptly added his fretless bass to it, to complete the rhythm section. Soon after, JJ added his electric piano magic, including a short solo, to the stew. Once the rhythmic framework was laid down, Stephen got to work on the choruses, coming up with solid, melodic lines for them. Then, it was Tez's turn to light up the verses with his monster guitar. When we had it mostly completed, Artur asked JJ if he'd do an intro to it. JJ came up with the whole psychedelic intro in response. 
  When it was finished, we asked Stephen if he would mix it for us, which he did with his typical mastery and attention to detail. We all really enjoy making music with Artur, and have been fans of and collaborators with him for almost a year now. If you like the sound of this song, you would do well to go check out his page, too, as he has a bunch of gems on there. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed creating it.
