This week on the Ismcast we have Mayeul.

The Frenchman with a love for acid has finally contributed to the Ismcast and what a set. Mayeul has been an artist that Ismus has kept a close eye on since the very beginning, having made his Berlin debut with us back in 2018. Since then he has grown at a fantastic rate becoming one of the main names coming out of France for harder electronic music. He is also one half of the Jawbreakers project alongside his main man JKS.

This set takes us back to the sounds of 90s techno and really displays a vast music knowledge for such a young artist.

Charlie Sparks is all about the energy. Known for emitting an intense gripping aura by seemingly blending Acid, Industrial, Rave, and Psytrance-like grooves. By carefully utilising every aspect of each Charlie is able to create the relentless momentum found in both his productions and performances. His unique hazardous identity has quickly spread and gained acknowledgment from artists such as Amelie Lens, 99999999, and many other heavyweights in the game.

It all started during his architecture studies where he delved into the dark, hard-hitting style of techno and quickly came to realise the huge connection between both creative fields. Just like architecture, every aspect of his music is specifically designed to generate certain emotions and control the atmosphere to captivate the listener. As a result, Charlie has been able to design his energy-filled, rhythmic pounding trademark sound which electrifies dancefloors across the world.

Andromeda is a London based artist and a resident of the infamous 24-hour institution, FOLD in London. Heavily influenced by acid, electro and industrial techno, her sets focus on the darker side of the spectrum driven by unrelenting drums, heavy basslines and punishing synths. She has become a regular fixture in the underground techno scene and has established a reputation for annihilating dance floors across the capital. Gaining recognition across the UK and further afield, she has shared the stage with artists such as Karenn, Bas Mooy, UVB, Stephanie Sykes and Dax J.

Red Ophis is a resident of MOTZ collective based in Berlin, London, and Ireland, and founder of Synthapise, a nonprofit event for animal rights causes. She is a regular to the London scene with a library that ranges from ethereal infused sonics to pure industrial techno madness, landing her to support acts such as Codex Empire, Dahlia, Axel Picodot, RVDE, Remco Beekwilder, XIK, OAKE and more. Prior to this recently established alias her vocals also featured on End Train’s “The Day I Didn’t Want to Wake Up” which was released on Code Is Law.

Since he moved to Paris, in 2015, this rising Serbian has securely affirmed his own vision of what Industrial techno is.

Over the years, he has developed his own unique style taking on heavy hard-hitting industrial techno with a spice of rave, EBM, and noise.

Variety is key, and with this artist, you never know what to expect. From big room rave music all the way down to the maleficent dark dungeons, Makornik likes to dance with the crowd by sending them on a musical journey.

Midnight Vices was born from the association of two already recognized artist producers: DRVSH and CARAVEL, both residents in Lyon (FRANCE). They released their first EP on DSR Digital in 2019, and the first artist’s support was not long in coming. Amélie Lens, Joe Farr and especially Rebekah who will set her heart on the track Disorder, the first track ever composed by this duo eight months before.
A few months later, their second EP was released on Rave Alert and it revealed  their artistic universe to the world through the incredible supports from the biggest artists of the current scene such as I Hate Models, Hadone (at Possession’s party in Paris). They continued their success with their mashup of “Survivor” & their third EP on Recollection Records (FRANCE) during 2020. For 2021, it’s already announced, they will reach Berlin's scene with a podcast on SYNOID and a long awaited EP on COUP Projekt Recordings.

Hailing from Leipzig, one of the epicenters of modern club culture in East Germany, HKKPTR  stands in a line with a new generation of DJs and producers, serving their audiences Techno in its rawest, most unrelenting form. With his musical roots in Black Metal and Hardcore, HKKPTR  found his early access to electronic music through Gabber and Schranz before his first visit at Leipzig’s infamous Institut für Zukunft opened his eyes and ears for the vast world of Techno. Ever since, be it through his tough performances in the DJ booth or his intriguing works in the studio, HKKPTR  has constantly been showing his undeniable predilection and talent for the darker and more energetic sides of electronic club music.

He might not let himself be put in a certain stylistic box, be it Techno, EBM or Industrial, but rest assured – you’ll get your fair share of all of them.
