Metroid Vibes -aka Mitsunobu- keeps digging deeper everyday, searching for this retro sci-fi vibe, sometimes melancholic, sometimes fairy, always on point.

He runs his own youtube channel where you can discover many of his findings.

Introducing Lucas aka Mitsunobu aka Metroid Vibes!

Mitsunobu is the DJ and aspiring producer behind the @Metroid_vibes project.

He made his debut as a promoter with the Underground Feelings crew, bringing artists and collectives such as Alien Recordings, Hinode, Le Loup, Melody, Reedale Rise, Slow Life, Yoshi, and others to the city in which he grew up, Strasbourg, France.

After this unforgettable experience, which ignited a strong love for electronic music in him, he founded @flatearthrec with two other members of the crew, NMSS and SL-AND.

In 2021 he moved to Lyon and created a YT channel called "Metroid Vibes" to share the music he loves and put the spotlight on the contemporary artists who produce it. 

His musical universe is mostly inspired by Progressive House, Tech House and Trance from the 90's & 00’s. But his love for electronic music has no bound so he’s also exploring other genre such as Detroit Electro, Drum&Bass  and Minimal.

Taslo, an emerging name in contemporary house music, presents the inaugural release on his own ‘Groove Concept’ imprint; ‘Backshift EP’. Showcasing an effective fusion of rounded timbres and body-rocking rhythms, this red-hot four-tracker is poised for sustained club usage.

‘Swop Shop’ kicks things off in compelling style with a coalition of propulsive drums and punchy bass. The swing setting gets ramped up for ‘Basic Principles’, where shuffling percussion and brawny resonances give way to a more explosive trajectory.

No momentum is lost over on the B-side, where ‘Globule’ sets in motion a sequence of pointed stabs and sub-bass jabs, resulting in a hypnotic groove that persists in its charm. The joint concludes with ‘Side Burner’, as the dynamic eases and languid, shimmering harmonies rise to the fore.

Bona fide groovers for the dance floor and beyond…

Mitsunobu is the DJ/producer behind the project `@metroid_vibes`, a YouTube channel that mainly promotes the music of emerging producers, but also more established artists.
Originally from Strasbourg, he made his debut in 2015 with the Underground Feelings crew, inviting artists from all over the world.
For the past two years, he has started producing his own music, adding a new string to his bow. He released his first record, ‘Neurodancer E.P.’ , on ‘Chat Noir Tools’ earlier this year that you could find at the shop ;)
His inspirations cover a wide spectrum, from House to old school Progressive House, but he also has a soft spot for other genres such as Electro and Drum&Bass.
Now based in Marseille, you might catch him here and there and discover his DJ skills through this 6th Mindcast!

After getting positive feedback from playing individually, the stars aligned and their paths crossed.  

Both moving to Leeds a powerful partnership emerged through friendship, clubbing and a love for music. 

Over the past three years, they have evolved into a dynamic duo, forging their own unique sound and playing across various clubs & festivals in the UK showcasing their unmatched energy.

Monsieur Vibes, c'est un mec qu'on suivait sur Youtube, on avait même un vinyle de lui, avant de découvrir qu'en fait c'était un pote de pote. Du coup il est venu jouer en rave, et c'est devenu notre pote.

Basé à Marseille, ce gros rat vient de rejoindre le crew D'Oz Machine, et attention c'est pas un collectif comme les autres, là c'est du sérieux. Bref, il vous le dira mieux que nous.

Ten is the number of toes on any two human feet, the sum of nine and one, the years in a decade and the number of releases it’s taken to reach this moment in TAN time. We started TAN as a one off, an excuse to release more music and have fun with the stories that we tell. An output to create more, engage more and offer more to the people who love and support our Bizarre Trax vinyl imprint.
