As well as the all-powerful bass pressure, Radikal Guru works with a colourful array of instrumentation, and brings in characterful vocalists YT, Danman and Echo Ranks to provide melodic lead and reggae lyricism on ‘Stay Calm’, ‘Know Yourself’ and ‘Warning!’ respectively. The final result is shining example of modern roots/ reggae-centred music in 2013, executed brilliantly and certain to last the test of time. Radikal Guru - Subconscious

The second single from Keys N Krates forthcoming Every Nite EP, "Understand Why" combines loopy, pitched up 90s house vocals, knocking rap drums, epic synths, big bass, and haunting voices to form a genre defying banger.  

The track undoubtedly elaborates on the Keys N Krates sound developed in tracks like “Treat Me Right" and “Dum Dee Dum," which use morphed vocal samples and 808s to create tension-filled rap beats that are as anthemic as they are strange. "Dum Dee Dum" has remained a mainstay in fellow 808 enthusiast's DJ sets like Baauer and RL Grime. "Understand Why" is no different, having already picked up big support from the likes of Hudson Mohawke, Just Blaze and Salva, to name a few.
