I heard Portugal. The Man's "Feel it still" and thought "That sounds a lot like the Marvelettes "Please Mr. Postman", on further research it seems like its common knowledge that Portugal sampled "Please Mr. Postman" so I'm not blowing the lid off anything. I just wanted to put up this example because I thought it was a clever update to a song we've heard a million times.

The only alteration I made was to pitch up "Please Mr. Postman" 2 steps so that it really becomes clear.

When you put the two songs together you can hear that the chorus is basically delivered in the same cadence / syllabic structure and musical notes.

I'm really impressed.
