octajam number 5 I think? So I will admit as much as I love the Octatrack, the 8 track limit is somewhat of a bummer. Having literally one more sampler would get me right, but equipment is expensive rn lol. just getting an Octatrack was a hassle and genuniely has put me in a finacially rough spot, but I don't regret it at all. To overcome the 8 track limit I use either Ableton or traktor to add in extra samples or synths. This time I used traktor. I made some sequences in Ableton as like a 64 bar pattern and then resampled it traktor.  Then I had to beatmatch the loops in traktor while recording lol, but it was super fun and playful to do. Combined with the 7 tracks available in the Octatrack, I got what I wanted for the most part. I'm excited to try out some live sets with this format, but for now it's limited to the studio.
