A couple of years back when I was near the start of my production journey I did a rework of the classic Ghostbusters theme and gave it away as a free Halloween download, and it did quite well. I beefed it up a bit last year, and this year I've updated it again, now that my production and mixing skills are (hopefully) improved. This version is definitely better - I've replaced the kick with a fatter one, made the bass chuggier and got that top end a bit more sparkly. And of course, it's free as an early Halloween treat for you, no tricks here.

This idea started after I watched DJ David Harness drop the original Crystal Waters "Gypsy Woman" track during an opening DJ set for Honey Dijon, and I started mashing it up with the Doja Cat vocals in my head 😂 .... I wanted a better quality version of the instrumental, so I ended up learning how to remake it & then reinvent it for 2025 with a new bassline & palette of sounds.

I'm very happy how this 90's twist on "Jealous Type" turned out & hope you dig it too!

So I very nearly didn’t have a free download for you this month - I was working on something but it didn’t work out and I had to abandon it. Then a family holiday took me out of action for a bit and left me with just a few days to rustle something up.
