My remix of Denis Simachev's track for the documentary film Voices of the Arctic. All voices and many instruments are recorded during the expedition above the Arctic Circle.

"Voices of the Arctic" is a documentary about the mysteries of shamans and life in the Arctic wilderness. Denis Simachev set off on a journey across the Russian Arctic in search of unique musical chants.

'LKA' boasts galloping percussion, funktastic breaks, and infectious vocals in an epic but sensual dance floor trip. ‘KFE’ turns into a deep, slo-mo house jam with sharp melodies and soulful vibes. On the flip side 'MAXIM VS. TDJ' is as high and steamy as it gets with the whole thing sure to boost and uplift any crowd. Building up to its explosive finale 'LIND' goes in slow, with thrilling beats, haunting overtones and a yearning female vocal that slowly but surely rises into bliss.
'Tooflie’ is a label that’s squarely on the spot, re-imagining unknown sounds from all over the globe into the new sonic grooves for dancefloors and diggers’ collections.

Everyone is an observer at some point in time. Everybody is watching, observing, researching something in own life.

Whether it is the old Hindu looking forward to the time when his body will be carried in a shroud to the last journey to the Ganges by the scent of flowers and then he has been liberated from the cycle of samsara, or when the cataphract is finally done with its struggle and freed from its armour somewhere in the midst of the steppes of Eurasia.

Whether it is the blind man who enters his inner garden of silence and explores there the images that none of the rest of us can see.

Whether it is the viewer who floats in a difficult to grasp triptych.

What is "there" behind that observation? Something modest, or something that changes our lives?

After more than two years Martin Kuška returns with his project Goodbye Mirage with a new EP "Turning Point Observer". A hypnotic dreamy-progressive five track and five remixes EP, in whose tracks you can constantly search for something new - the endless faith or doubt, the loneliness of days or the shining energy of social moments yet to come, body to body.

When you hear it on the dance floor, you can dance and smile, or dance and feel deep sentiment. It's up to you. The possibilities are endless as the vast ocean - let yourself go and become an observer of... who knows... perhaps a turning point in your life.

System 108 resident Lipelis teams up with Carrot Green from Rio de Janeiro to create a dreamy, summer vibed EP simply dedicated to them both: Leo & Caito, with naming and artwork playfully inspired by Sertanejo genre standards. 

The duo emerged in early 2020 on the streets of Rio and started to jam same night in the studio of Carlos, who is affiliated with all cool gangs of the Brazilian dance scene. Just like on Lipelis's critically acclaimed Function As A Meaning EP (a System 108 instant classic by now!), things took off by themselves: intuitive sampling of chords taken from Brazilian gospel found some unexpected modular synth tweaking. For good! 

"Rolando Nascer do Sol" is THE track, that the duo is particularly proud of. In the words of Lipelis, who has once spinned it at Gop Tun carnival party, in a b2b set w/ Millos Kaiser -  'it produced an unforgettable euphoric effect". 

Having witnessed how all the tracks work on the dancefloors not only in Brazil, we are uber-excited to finally release this 4-track EP! Digital comes first and vinyl will follow.

Que Sakamoto and Carrot Green have teamed up on international waters to present an EP featuring two originals and two remixes, released by São Paulo's Gop Tun label. Their collaborative work draws inspiration from their shared experience at the Bruma Festival, a three-day music event set amidst the lush mountains in Silva Jardim, a two-hour drive from Rio de Janeiro. In Sakamoto + NT's original, they blend Japanese-infused breakbeats with Brazilian carnival samples and the distinctive vocals of Eryy. Carrot Green's contribution, "Domingo a Noite em Silva Jardim," offers an arpeggiated journey through the misty vibes of Silva Jardim city, inspired by the festival's Sunday night dancefloor. Beyond their originals, Que Sakamoto and Carrot Green also provide fresh interpretations of each other's tracks, with different perspectives on each original song. Dive in!
