PREMIERE: Broosnica, mac passion – Funk Faker [Welofi]

This tribute release was created in memory of Dima Nova, Roma Svirgunov, Gosh Kiselyov, and Aristarkh Ukhtomsky, who tragically died a year ago. The album features over 20 electronic music compositions recorded by STVOL label residents, friends, and colleagues, capturing their history through music. The release includes tracks created with Dima, remixes as a tribute to the band CREAM SODA for their contribution to the revival of pop music, a new interpretation of the single 'Volga,' collaborative songs with Golden8oi, Aristarkh's demos, and an endless quintessence of feelings and emotions from love to loss.

Dima Nova was a co-founder of the Russian electronic group CREAM SODA, known for hits like 'Никаких Больше Вечеринок' and 'Плачу на Техно.' He was one of the pioneers of the new wave of Russian electro-punk and also one of the creators of the label STVOL and the clothing brand PUBLIKA GAULTIER. He tragically passed away with his friends on March 20, 2023.

The streaming & vinyl revenues will be allocated to the families of the deceased.

1 year after releasing his 5th long-play “True, Necessary, Kind” on STVOL Records Alexander Lay-Far prepared a conceptual follow-up - a compilation of remixes and reinterpretations from well-seasoned producers, true underground heroes and new exciting talents.

Following closely the album’s concept and its philosophical narrative, in the autumn of 2023 Lay-Far announced an open remix competition to ignite the intercultural dialogue and release the top 3 reworks as a result. However it didn’t go according to the plan! Submissions poured in from Germany, Spain, The UK, USA, Russia, Ireland, Indonesia, South Africa, etc., exceeding the expectations of quantity and most importantly quality! After taking quite sometime to review all the remixes -  the best of the best were selected.

And there you have it - a vivid yet comprehensive compilation of 15 high-quality remixes by the likes of Ant To Be, Super JV, Marco Lazovic, Bleep, Hermanito, Anderdog, Fluchtlink, Jetelmen, etc., ranging from Street Soul to Jungle, Deep and Afro House, UK Bass, Techno, Intelligent D’N’B, Breakbeat and Electro.
