This September, Codex reaches a major milestone with release number 300, and it comes from the label's founder, Spartaque. Just weeks after celebrating 10 years of Codex in June and 20 years of his own career in August, Spartaque delivers Red Strobe, a track that carries the weight of history and the drive of a new era.

Red Strobe was created as a tribute to Spartaque's roots, a nod to the raw, high-impact energy of the early 2000s, inspired by iconic tracks like The Drill. But it's also a forward-looking statement. With modern peak-time production and a stunning vocal that adds depth and emotion, the track bridges Spartaque's past and future. It's tough and hypnotic, yet melodic and atmospheric.

This is more than a release. It's a personal moment, a rare synergy of two timelines: 10 years of a label that helped shape the peak-time techno scene, and 20 years of an artist who built it brick by brick. With previous releases on Le Club, Unity, Hidden Secret and his own Sbert Records - Prolific producer Dani Sbert adds to an extensive catalogue of highly functional club music with 'Manifest'; an apex Techno track brimming with raw, pneumatic energy.

This is a clinic in low-end frequency control. A dense, pulsing sub throbs at the belly of the track alongside a pugnacious kick and an arsenal of bass synths that progressively tear shreds out of the dance floor. 

A menacing drone hums in the background while frazzled fx sizzle at the surface and a feeling of wild, dramatic dystopia snowballs. All the while, tight, focused drums maintain order in the chaos, dialling in a deadly 2am groove that will push dancers and the bass bins to their limit.

RSPKT178 is the long-awaited debut EP from Brennen Grey on Respekt. After a killer remix on Stiv Hey's 'Can't Stop' a year ago, we're hyped to have him back on the label with 3 servings of his signature aural cuisine.
'Carpe Omne' kicks things off with soaring, off-kilter arpeggios and gated vocal fragments, before peaking with a massive, laser-reaching breakdown, then steaming back in with all out mayhem.
'Voice of the Void' continues the eerie theme with gothic choirs and demonic drones, whilst 'Les Dieux' serves as a less melody-driven counterpoint to it's sister tracks, relying on a seismic kickdrum and sparse synth stabs to round out the release.
