The Berlin based DJ/producer duo Vermeer merges experimental sound design and cinematic- music like atmosphere on fast techno grooves. Especially influenced by futuristic scores à la Sci- Fi-Noir their detail oriented sets definitely result in sounds one rarely experiences on dancefloors.
Their unconventional approach however does not make the DJ sets any less danceable as they put special emphasis on only selecting driving peak-time techno and mixing it with a large yet- to-be-released selection of their own.
For years they have been involved in the Berlin underground party collective "Selected Berlin" that also turned into a label last year and already hosts releases from some of the scenes most promising names such as Chlär, Swart, DIMI or The Chronics. Hosting and playing at parties among many prominent acts for years, Vermeer is deeply ingrained in Berlins underground techno-scene.
After years of shaping their very own signature sound, Vermeer now has a tight schedule of releases which are about to be dropped in 2022. Their first EP "Tokyo In" already got support by well established names such as Slam and Patrick Mason.

About Caniche:

Based in Berlin, Caniche developed her penchant for hard and fast Techno early on. As a DJ she plays fervidly selected gems from the early 2000s and a sound that reaches from Hardgroove as well as more trancy tunes to full-on Schranz.

As co-founder and resident of Vienna’s PUSH - Female DJ Network, she fiercely fights for more visibility and equal treatment of FLINTA artists. The network structure connects hard Techno DJs across Europe and offers mutual support.

Sdein is a London DJ from the South of France. After living in the British capital for 8 years, he progressively fell in love with faster-paced techno by being a regular within the underground London techno scene. 

He became a resident at MASS after slaying a 2hr set at our inception party in 2018. His sound is marked by high BPMs and diversity, promising hypnotic sets that take the listeners on a journey, from the industrial grooves and ravey tools to melodic and trance anthems.

CHRISTMAS PODCAST 003: Ethan Fawkes

Bio:
Ethan Fawkes is an oldschool rave techno and EBM DJ producer, based in Tilff, Belgium. He’s known for his charismatic presence and combat ready style on stage, comfortably playing anywhere from raves to clubs or shows and festival stages with his signature sound which is a masterclass in unmistakably powerful and personal tracks. His unique vision and tireless work ethic are evidenced by a growing catalogue of original EPs, LPs and remixes for top international labels, winning the respect of his peers, the adoration of fans, and the full attention of DJs and dance floors worldwide.
Growing up in the 80's and 90’s, his passion for music starts at 10 years old with New beat, EBM followed by Belgian Techno. 
Next years he loved listening to grunge and metal bands like Nirvana and Sepultura. This inspired him to learn the guitar. He then got engulfed into 90’s rave, techno, EBM, electro, acidcore, industrial and dark ambient music which ultimately led him to accumulate hardware to fuel this new electronic fire within.
Inspired by these sounds and from the huge influence of his favourite artists like The Horrorist, Al Ferox, Nitzer Ebb, Apotheosis (Luke Riga), T99, Quadrophonia and Mark Archer (Altern 8), he started DJing around 1995 and eventually creating his own brand of menace in 2001.
Since he started producing his releases have appeared on many outstanding labels including Dancefloor Killers, Kobayashi Recordings, Qubiq Records, Fresh Cut, I-Traxx Red Edition and Bombtrap.
Ethan’s production skills are so insane that he’s been relentlessly recruited to remix artists including The Horrorist, Al Ferox, Clemens Neufeld, Millimetric and Diarmaid O Meara. Frequent collaborations with artists like Danny Casseau often take form and his guest vocals appear on various other releases.
New projects are "Nu Body Records" EBM label run with Fabrice Torricella and "Ethan Fawkes No Label" for self releases cds and vinyls.

We are happy to finally welcome our newest systemctl.global member. @hugo_dirac is born and raised in Duesseldorf and has been producing, mixing and mastering for several years. Now he is finally pushing his robo-romantic productions to the masses.   His style is heavily influenced by a sophisticated balance of body music roughness and italo-flavoured smoothness. The set takes you on a nostalgic yet futuristic journey from dystopian electro to rough body music all garnished with a clear 80s obsession and a love for glamorous Italo.

Kyoto based artist @nobunagawatanabe is an avid believer in all things hard and psy. They started producing in 2017 and made their way from producing techno to to diggin into the depths of psytrance recently. Iconic Artists like DJ Ibon and Augustin G have heavily influenced them.

At times almost frantic, CTLCAST 13 will definitely get your heart pumping.

@holdkedveset entry is sharp edged, noisy and menacing. His curation consists mostly of modular sounds, striking stomping percussion and atmospheric synths.

His fully saturated hour of mixing is not for the faint of heart, offering unrelenting tracks one after the other.
