Superluminal sub-imprint Rediscovery is back for its 2nd installment, while the world continues to be doomed by bacteriological warfare, new recordings have been taken by Matthias, four brand new techno-hybrid dance tunes. "Infinity Plus One is neither a man of big words, nor a man of massive musical output, preferring to remain low-key. The tracks finally presented to you on this EP are bold and bare a distinct character of their own. The opening track "Struggle Is A Constant" is energetic and probably more current than ever, whilst tragically soundtracking recent pandemic times. „Suburban Subversion” remains airy and dreamy as an A2 follow up. The B-side then picks up the pace with "Connected", before the “9th Gate” works towards a gentle and jazzy finish. These four tracks were carefully selected from Infinity Plus One's creative period between 2001 and 2005. They display a diverse repertoire of sounds from the London based artist, whilst at the same time also expanding the soundscape of our Molar label. Thank you for your support, we love you."

SYSTEM ERROR & FRIENDS UKRAINE FUNDRAISER

In 2021 we did our first label event in Kyiv and we were welcomed with open arms.
The mentality, openness, hospitality and drive of the people we met in Ukraine struck us immediately and that year was the beginning of many new meaningful encounters and the beginning of many new friendships. The offensive war of Russia against Ukraine and the Ukrainian people is a horror we couldn’t have imagined to witness here in Europe in our lifetime. And we still can’t believe that it is happening but had to come to terms with this new cruel reality at the same time.

We thought a lot about what we could do besides helping and supporting our friends personally and in the end it came back to what connected us in the first place and what we do best and passionately, MUSIC! 

For this reason we put together a 23 Track strong compilation from artists from our label, friends labels and friends of friends from all around the world.

A big thank you to all the artists who contributed and also to those who wanted to contribute, we had to close the submissions at some point so we could finish the project.

Further we wanna thank Sasse & Alberto at Black Head Studios for contributing their labor to the project and Mastering the 23 Tracks in record time, Scruffy Studio for creating the Artwork and Zac Bidwell for helping with press and communication as well as to our dedicated System Error label team which put in extra hours to make this happen.

All proceedings from this compilation will be donated to Doctors Without Borders for their help in Ukraine.

CHARITY01 - Ukraine Fundraiser Compilation

Second gathering for the series 'Korghettini Electronics' on Onetriptoavyon

In the early 2000s, Korg invented, engineered and distributed four little instruments called Electribes. A drum machine, one analog modeling synthesizer, a sampler and a music workstation respectively called ER1, EA1, ES1 and EM1. Initially I always found it very difficult to use them in my studio, because they weren’t really fitting with the sound and the workflow. Between march and may 2020, I stopped worrying about trying to force the Electribes into the setup: i just put them together and started jamming, recording several tracks without using anything else apart from these little boxes and their own effects… eventually sampling a few things along the way with my headphones into the ES1:)

The title, as well as the aesthetic of the project, are inspired by a future-retro approach to early electronics and 70s Italian product advertisement.
