We are very excited to present the 63rd episode from Brazilian sensation, Nicolas Vogler, featuring an hour of subtle grooves, rough synth work and an electrifying dose of that old school funk.

Nicolas Vogler’s fascination for music stretches back far into his childhood. Born and raised in Londrina, southern Brazil, his musical journey first manifested itself in an admiration for punk and rock n’ roll, which inspired him in his early years to learn guitar. As a teenager, he discovered electronic music through underground parties, nurturing a passion for techno that has only grown over the years.

Inspired by the dirty rawness of old school techno and the hypnotic vibes of more contemporary tracks, Nicolas Vogler decided to pursue his newfound passion by DJing at small events in his hometown. Today, he is a producer, gaining renown through his own personal label NCLS as well as through recent releases on groove-focused techno labels such as Syxt Berlin, Drawner records, Malör Records, ESP Collective, Hemisferio Barcelona and Secession. Played by techno DJs worldwide, Nicolas’ tracks can be found in mixes by notable artists such as Setaoc Mass, Ben Sims, Arkan, Norman Nodge, Insolate, Temudo, and many others.

Over the past few years, somewhat mysteriously, @Volster has gradually become one of the most noted figures of the Croatian electronic scene, leaving his signature through production, DJing, event organisation and running a label imprint: @secessionrec.

The main subculture Marko was positively exposed to in the 90’s was techno, a style he has been practising for almost two decades now. As he was performing within and outside the Croatian borders, Volster gradually started experimenting and developing his signature textured sound leading him to sing and publish his work across his own labels and others such as Edit Select, @Vakum-Records and @northallsenrecords to name a few. 

To this day, Volster has performed all across Europe ranging from clubs to festivals like Dimensions Festival and Modem Festival which brought him to his most notable appearance and debut performance at @berghain in September 2019.

Integrated to the pulse of this cosmopolitan city, the artist immediately absorbed the codes of a sound with her own name. Some years elapsed since Dinamite became a resident of the legendary Tresor club, epicenter of the world Techno culture. In the same space, the artist directs the New faces cycle, a launching platform for new talent from around the world that seeks to expand the great Techno family. With a powerful and dynamic sound, a sustained and projected energy, achieving an overwhelming combo for any Techno fan, Dinamite explores the possibilities that this musical genre gives in blunt sets that take her to tour the most important European clubs in the underground circuit. Lover of working in the studio and in a creative process in constant development, She creates her musical proposals with a vibrant sound palette with tones that range from the purity of industrial sounds to the saturation of the darkest, producing unique pieces with a very personal aesthetic. Currently, Dinamite has just released her new imprint Onna Bushi Records, that lands on the international scene, as a platform for artistic visibility, with the persevering drive of a community that accepts the challenge of reinventing itself. For our 80th episode, SHE/HER joins the series, an upcoming 22-year old female techno DJ based in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. 

SHE/HER started DJ'ing during the COVID-lockdown. For this reason she felt inspired by various Dutch illegal and underground rave communities. These scenes made her sound shift from hard kicks and trancey tracks to a blend of hard, funky and groovy rhythms. Although quite the shift in music taste has already been made, she believes this will never stop changing. That’s why SHE/HER will always be eager to learn and be inspired more by our beautiful techno scene.

A long time record collector, Stephen has been involved in various collectives over the years including Analog where they had guests over such as Volster and Insolate and Woo York.

Stephen has been releasing music with releases on labels including Concidence Records and his own label Shelter Records while also part of Flexure with Jamie Behan which seen them play at Tresor's New Faces night.

Now running a new imprint, Delinquent Delivery since 2018, a label which has brought six releases so far, a looking glass into Dublins Techno scene. Artists included are Snakebite_616, Jon Hussey, Stuey Lyons, Rustal, Jack Jennings, James Cherry, Stephen Mahoney, which saw a sold out release for Saol Forsa and made the Decks.de top ten. 2021- 2022 saw Stephen debut on Children of Tomorrow, two Eps within quick succession, while 2023 starts with an album on a Diffuse Reality and another Ep for Children of Tomorrow.

Stephen’s productions have been continuing to garner respect and support from the scenes biggest luminaries and his productions are gaining an International audience. Djing, Stephen’s style is quick, three deck mixing which incorporates many late night styles and has a single goal or vision, unite the dancefloor and set it alight.

He has shared the decks with Mariano DC doing warm up during last year. With more than 10 years behind the decks he's still digging into the deep hypnotic sounds with some agressive percussions to give the listener a journey through his cosmic sounds.
