This was not one thing or another. The machine was baffled and confused by its perfect array of imperfections which meant it could not be neatly packaged or placed within the categories by which it knew.

See, here was the thing, humans were always wonky. They could not be paired to the constraints of societal brackets, for then there would be little left in the realm of imagination or creative freedom. I was not we - it never had been.

Sparks began to fly as the construct of reality was shattered beneath the weight of its own clumsy foolishness. How had they ever imagined they might get away with it? For they themselves, were wonky after all.

E-Talking is a producer we've followed for years, both independently and as one half of Nummer - the hardware duo who have released music on the likes of Going Good.

E-Talking has appeared independently on the likes of Going Good and AD93 fka Whities. This next EP enters new territories, targeting the club directly with foreboding cuts of electronic music built for the dancefloor.

@morelian returns to Fever AM - the label she co-runs alongside @rhyw - for the first time in three years. Following the release of two albums as her Alloy Sea project and taking a break to experiment and develop her sound, Mor is back with a four-track EP, ‘Diva Test’, where she leans into a more colourful, playful side of her productions. Oli’s high quality output of playful and dynamic compositions on show yet again. A long path ahead for this kind soul and a good start point for this cohesive artist-label BPR hook up. Syz carves a distinct sound with clear intention in the cross hybrid field of techno leaning, drum heavy, dubbed out, and often grime inspired broken beat sonics. As always, there’s plenty of subtleties, chaptered progression and unpredictable flurries of hooks to keep you moving.

Clemency presents References (Remixed) - three re-interpretations of her debut EP by Perko, Boofy and Jennifer Walton. 

Each remix builds on the sparse dissonant sounds of Clemency’s original production into three heavyweight soundsystem workouts. 

Perko works ‘Testimony’ into a wriggling, hypnotic drum workout; 
Boofy leans into ‘Biblical Names’’ subby rhythmic momentum; 
Jennifer Walton pairs ‘Mimic Animals That Are Easy to Love’s menacing sirens with apocalyptic 303s and unforgiving percussion. 

References was originally released with a collection of Clemency’s own personal references - including poetry, fiction, coordinates and cosmetics - that inspired the record. References (Remixed) comes with new references from each remixer to accompany their interpretations.

Syz - Servo [Accidental Meetings F&F001]

London label, Control Freak have made quite the impact since their first release last year. Welcoming Keplrr alongside debuts from Guava and label-head Customer Service so far, they pride themselves on a love for intricate sounds on wax. Seeding techno sensibilities with UK bass twists.

With yet another label debut on the way, this time we see Syz landing with solo EP 'Bunzunkunzun'. A trio of complex dancefloor rippers, it's an all-rounder with shades of brightness pitted alongside thick skanked up textures. 

The title track is the bounciest of the three. Showcasing Syz's clear aptitude for freaki rhythms, it's destined for show-stopping dancefloor moments. Heads down, hips twist, jaws swings. We can't wait to hear this fired up on a system to the masses.
