Szmer is an alias of Michał Aleksiewicz that came into light by the end of 2019, but he has been active in the techno world since 2011 and since that time he took part in many events in both Poland and Worldwide (including Tresor and Suicide Circus in Berlin as The Effaith). He published many records under three aliases in the span of many years. Szmer’s tracks were released by record labels such as Dynamic Reflection, Truncate, Symbolism, Out of Place, R3volution or Prophet Recordings. Artists that inspire him the most are Planetary Assault Systems, Jeroen Search or Sterac aka Steve Rachmad.

His tracks have been recently played by Ben Sims, Insolate, Truncate, Jeroen Search, Dave Clarke, Benjamin Damage, Dax J, Developer or Abstract Division.

His djing can be described as obscure, powerful and very club focused. It has an excellent technique and precision when mixing and also is a very careful selector. His productions can be labeled as old-school influenced and very faithful to the early Techno roots and classic sounds.
