Eitan Reiter presents the third release from his label, Impulse. This time, he revisits established tracks that have solidified his reputation. Each track has been expertly sharpened in his live sets. The original version of the opening piece, Blue Planet, was released on Boshke Beats Records. However, Eitan decided to start the Ups & Downs EP with a previously unreleased but dancefloor-tested remix. This version of the track blends early techno, electronic body music (EBM), and raw trance into a cohesive sound. While influenced by the aesthetics of the 1990s, the production quality reflects Reiter's status as a top-tier producer.

The second track, Ups & Downs (Glitch Remix), showcases intelligent electronica with an ambient atmosphere. It merges synth-wave explorations reminiscent of science fiction soundtracks with classic Detroit electro rhythms and experimental industrial noises, creating an emotional journey through virtual reality.

While the four-on-the-floor version of the third track, Lost Souls, was initially released on Boshke Beats, the new, previously unreleased remix draws ideas from indie dance, neo-punk, and dark disco influences, incorporating ethno chants that highlight Reiter's imaginative approach. This creativity has positioned him as an unpredictable artist in the electronic music scene.

The final track, Undertaker, is a staple in Reiter's performances at open-air events like Boom Festival and is now available to the public through this exciting release. Consistent with previous releases, this EP adheres to a unique future-meets-retro concept that challenges linear perceptions of time.

Eitan Reiter continues to refine his musical vision with a bold four-track release that masterfully balances audience expectations with surprising twists. This release reinforces the distinct identity of his label, Impulse.

Although the opening track, You're a Fish (Eitan Reiter Remix), serves only as a prelude to half an hour of music, it immediately showcases high quality. A. Balter and Eitan Reiter created the original version in 2011 while working closely together, each contributing to the other's music.

A. Balter released the original version of the piece in 2011, and this remix amplifies its core elements, transforming it into a high-energy masterpiece that merges retro influences with a cyberpunk vision of the future.

Next is Rasmi, featuring the distinct sound of SHASHA. This track seamlessly fuses elements of early techno, a Middle Eastern Vibe, and acid -infused details, creating a sonic landscape that feels both nostalgic and futuristic.

The third offering, Red Handed (Acidic Mix), captures the raw, uncompromising essence of the Chicago House revolution. It has haunting vocals, atonal melodies, and warped, pitched sounds. This album pushes boundaries while paying homage to a pivotal moment in electronic music history.

Red Handed (Dub Mix) closes the release with a reimagined version that strips away the acid elements, revealing a more fluid and atmospheric energy. This final track provides a perfect resolution, rounding the release with a refined yet immersive sonic experience.

Desert Drift emerges as a collaboration between Gorovich and Boaz Bentur. Their latest work delves deep into a unique soundscape shaped by their combined creative vision and is the third addition to the label ESC. Boaz, also known for his contributions to the band Tiny Fingers, brings his mastery as a bassist and producer. Gorovich—acclaimed for performances —adds his distinctive beats and synthesizer textures. Together, they create a one-piece recorded live album that blends instrumentation with electronic precision, showcasin g the synergy that defines their music.

The album reflects the organic, improvisational essence of the collaboration.

This approach mirrors their performances, such as their joint set at Ozora and Gorovich’s solo show at Boom Festival. Their shared exploration of sound ranges from ambient textures and dub influences to deep techno and industrial elements, offering a multifaceted auditory journey.

The second piece, Flood, shifts the narrative, evoking emotional depth and psychedelic energy through its slower tempo. Layered frequencies and intricate sound design expand the spiritual journey initiated by Dune, showcasing the vast creative imagination.

The concluding track, Mirage, weaves together improvisation and structured electronic foundations. Live instrumentation and computer-driven precision merge seamlessly, resulting in a ritualistic, transcendent piece reminiscent of ancient ceremonies.

Desert Drift offers a perfect soundtrack for chill-out zones at open-air festivals or simply as a soothing escape from the demands of urban life.
