Herein are nine tracks assembled from the ground up in line with our collective vision of what glitch.cool has to offer the electronic music community. Much like how our first compilation was assembled entirely from sounds in our debut sample pack, Glitch With Friends Compilation Vol. 2 follows suit with samples from our Glitch With Friends Samples Vol. 2 pack released in April 2020. Much like the original samples themselves, this music is free to download for everyone and intended to be enjoyed by all who want it.

These tracks range from ethereal to intense, from dancefloor banger to cerebral abstraction, yet all are representative of the type of sound design oriented sonic aesthetic we want to see more of in this world. A number of familiar faces return from the previous compilation, and a couple of newer names are also present. Each of these artists contributed a diverse set of sounds for the sample pack, and in turn each mangled, flipped, and churned the pack into a sonic beauty of their own creation. We hope that you enjoy listening to these tracks as much as we enjoyed putting them all together.

This album emerges from the rediscovery of an accordion following the loss of a close relative-
an instrument that had been a constant companion throughout their life, weaving itself into the fabric of childhood memory. At its core lies the recognition that both human and accordion share the same essential act: breathing. 
The accordion becomes a meditation on mortality and memory, its bellows expanding and contracting like "lungs", its air valve releasing pure breath without melody—the raw pneumatic essence of life itself. Every sound originates from this single instrument, largely unprocessed, preserving the intimate relationship between human touch and mechanical response.
It’s an investigation of how an instrument can hold the memory of hands that no longer play
it. The mechanical whispers, the subtle articulations of metal and leather and wood become
a language of remembrance, breathed rather than spoken."

premiere: ARIGTO - Confined Lungs [self-release]

from @glitch-dot-cool enfant terrible to unbound crooner, there are few more implacable, earnest and radically shifting entities in electronic music than Copenhagen’s @zack-christ - The 2024 EP 𐘲(𐘨)𐚎𐘲𐝥𐃀𐘡𐘴𐝂 evinced an archly disruptive approach to glitch music, gutting to the rubble of computational noise any expectations of a lofty ambience + waveform post-expressionism dyad, only to interject those same ambient climaxes whenever it was they would most sublimely strip a person to a soul. Then turned up this February’s Underbearing. Underbearing is miraculous. At times a confessional and exultant pop record, at others destructing any expectable structures of glitch and noise into a tableaux of sounds and shapes beyond categorization.

Zack’s mix is a mirror of the mind that produces this music. Contiguous are, and linked by an unquestionable emotional logic, chittering, stunted glitch and metal, grunge and chamber pop. Little is more important here than an openness of feeling. Genericity, associability, taxonomical means by which to synopsize an artist are disintegrated in the face sheerly of expression. Sequentiality, excusatory entrancement, the disappearance of the conductor into the comfiture of predictability - any such notions are evaporated in the reappearance of the conductor as an immediacy. I cannot not see the sparkle of an apotheosis of possibility because I am shown at every turn a music that is not simply sufficient but essentially contributive to an entirety of irreplicable beauty. And that is again where the conductor disappears - into the music that says all that is before these words and into all the afters they should never need to say. And something emerges like a person, disappearing and reappearing. Agleam in their disappearance and reappearance, and agleam in the states between.
