On February 14th, while most people were likely celebrating Valentine’s Day with their loved ones, fans of the local underground scene had something else to rejoice about—the return of Tiger Tchakounté.

His single "Shine Thru" pays tribute to his time working at the famous Fruiterie Milano in the heart of Montreal’s Little Italy. With a vintage, old-school sound built on a soulful sample, the track features lyrics filled with references to this chapter of his life, marking a refreshing comeback for the Montreal rapper.

True to his style, Tiger handled the production himself. However, a nod goes to his Ottawa-based collaborator CazMcMind and singer Joules, who provided background vocals on the chorus.
