This Parvati episode brings you GU with his new EP Guroovy's promo set. GU a.k.a. Takumi Yamaguchi, is a psychedelic trance producer from Osaka, Japan.  His journey began in 2004 when he wandered through the Indian subcontinent and stumbled into Goa, unknowingly stepping into a life-changing experience—his first encounter with Trance music. After immersing himself in the scene, he became a DJ and, by 2006, felt the urge to craft his own sound.  Now, with a deep influence from psychedelic music worldwide, Gu’s signature blends groovy basslines with dark atmospheres. In March 2025, he unveils his new EP Guroovy on Parvati Records—a testament to his evolving sonic journey.

This guest mix is by RAJAX, who adds: "Recorded at home for the Pollux session. Fun fact: the darkest set of my life happened during a weird period. I poured all my frustration into it, which is why it turned out so dark, unlike what I usually play. I just needed an escape, haha." Since 2013, William has immersed himself in the psytrance scene, giving birth to his project RAJAX. He made his stage debut in 2015 with Outrance and quickly gained recognition for his progressive and full-on psytrance sets. In 2017, he joined the Senoï Project and released his first compilation, GENOME, in 2019. By 2023, he became part of Transubtil Records, evolving toward darker and faster sets while maintaining his signature groove.  RAJAX has performed at major festivals such as Ozora, Own Spirit, Origins, and Hadra. Each of his performances is unique, leaving a strong impression on dancefloors and solidifying his place in the psytrance scene—creating unforgettable moments for the audience.

Woo-Dog Recordings presents MINDGROOVE with a live set featuring tracks from his upcoming EP and VA on the label, including tracks from his previous albums and singles played live at Spirit Gust, Magica Festival, and Electric Rainbow Festival. MINDGROOVE is the psychedelic trance project of Indian artist Manthan Gupta. His journey into psytrance began in 2016, drawn in by its hypnotic rhythms and otherworldly sounds. He started producing music in 2020, debuting with the EP Mephisto's Nightmare on Dream Crew Records, followed by releases on compilations from labels like Sonektar Records and Ancient Druids.  Mindgroove blends elements of forest, darkpsy, and other psychedelic subgenres to craft boundary-pushing soundscapes. He also produces under the project Neuroattack, signed to Iono Records, Regroup, 360feature, Geomagnetic, and Hitech Dojo, exploring psychill, progressive, and hitech styles.  Beyond producing, Manthan runs a psytrance academy, sharing DJ and production knowledge, and creates preset and sample packs for darkpsy producers.

MINDGROOVE | Woo-Dog Recordings Presents | 31/05/2025

This is the set I played at the party I organised with friends (Selekt!) in Berlin, a week after Masters of Puppets. The location was an underground club called Void in East Berlin. The vibe was great, rooms were full, and the lineup was some of the best the style has to offer: Hypogeo, Kromagon, Krumelur, Ash Roy, Folic State,... It was a collaboration with the local crew psYsq, and everything ran smoothly.

My set was the last one, right after Subterfuge Acoustique, and I delivered one of my darkest sets, matching the artists in the lineup. Happy with the whole experience, I hope you enjoy this set as much as I did playing it.

This was my first European Festival booking set at the mighty Modem Festival. Best dj experience of my life!

So full disclosure.... this is a studio recreation of the tracks played. Iistening back in the car today, this isn't how I mixed it live (the recording off the desk fucked up) and I'm a little disappointed but I'll polish this version - I was just too excited to get it out there because I had such a good time and I rushed it!!!

"45 Seconds from now are the rest of my life" -- with these dark, dramatic and suicidal lyrics, Gainworx stands out with his single "45 Seconds" from other releases in the scene. He combines Hardtrance and Hardstyle mixes on Metrophonic Resistance with Dance mixes on the Sonic Flash remix release.

The Swedish producer William Larsson, alias Gainworx, is one of the most promising artists in the scene, as he belongs to the young generation of talented producers in the age of 17 only. After his debut single "Vanished Dream" in 2011 and numerous remixes for artists like Brooklyn Bounce & Discotronic, Jan Wayne, Alex M. vs Marc van Damme, Cosmic Squad or Cueboy & Tribune, he finally releases his long awaited and massive follow up single.

With songwriting reinforcement by Sirko Falke, who has previously written outstanding lyrics for CcK, Cansis, Stylez & Breeze or Justin Corza meets Greg Blast, Gainworx could enthuse the German singer and actress Toni Fox for his single. After plenty of TV performances, she kicks off as a singer on this release.

The single will include remixes by Cryoniqs, Dual Playaz, Cueboy & Tribune and Quickdrop, and will be released as a double release on Metrophonic Resistance und Sonic Flash. Hardtrance and Hardstyle fans will be happy about the mixes in the Metrophonic Resistance release. The HandsUp and Dance posse will definitely be attracted by the Sonic Flash remix release!
