“Chaotic Influx” welcomes back TOUCH Samadhi’s old friend and frequent collaborator Primordial Ooze, now delivering three slices of chunky, organic psychedelia for the nighttime dancefloor. “Dripping Springs” leads with tendrils of liquid sound that invite the listener in to an ever-deepening tunnel surrounded by throaty squawks, bleats, and clanging echoes; the title track picks up the pace with a driving beat and cascading atmospherics that seem both metallic and earthy at the same time. The closer, “Almost Inert,” storms the dancefloor with an energetic bassline, zippery riffs, and percussive shouts for a high-speed race into darkness.”
