I recorded this off the radio in either in late 1990 or early 1991. It was a DJ Magic Mike mix on our local radio station. I was only 8 or 9 years old at the time, so near the beginning there were some moments where  I talked over the mix.  Also, there are moments where in the background you can hear the tape I recorded over.  I have reached out to Magic Mike for over a decade for the full original version (he said he has it somewhere), but I don't think I'll ever get it. It really inspired me in a major way.

Backwards Dog is a project (or rather a style) influenced by rap/hip hop mix tapes where artists would freestyle/improvise over a previously made beat.  Backwards Dog started in the early 2000s with a rapper and I freestyle singing over short rock breakdowns and instrumentals.  Throughout the years, other friends/artists have joined in on the fun.
