SUNLIGHT GOT AWAY

#52songs52weeks challenge! This is #week11, which is a song about a place you've never been. Well, I started with the first two lines, and the rest sort of came from that (so I didn't stick to the prompt. Sue me.). The rest of the song was inspired by a news article I read about a man who found a letter he had written to his wife, Bernadean, when he was a young soldier during WWII. I used some of his words in the song.

Drifting in the Silence

"Walking in the Dark" is the February installment of my One Song, One Month challenge.  This is dedicated to all of those who walk in the dark, those who have walked with them, and those who have walked with me.  It is inspired by portions of Robert Benson's book, "Living Prayer."  He writes of a time when a friend was in great need, and called him in the middle of the night, and how he "called me in the middle of the night when his life was coming apart because he knew that I had been broken too."  

Walking in the Dark (February)

I wrote  this song as my perspective on "leaving the nest" to pursue your dreams. A lot of time I'd here people say they would just leave and never look back just severing the ties of where you come from. I know from experiences in my life that leaving like that only servers to hurt someone and leave a gap that doesn't need to be there. Basically what I'm saying is....if you have to leave well  then leave the right way.
