Unexpected Sounds Vol. 1  is the first installment of a 3 Volume mixtape series that I will be doing (each being a different sound from the previous). Unexpected Sounds Vol. 1 is combination of current mainstream HipHop songs that I compiled into one mixtape showcasing the violin and that it can be just as vocal as a singer are lyricist. The name Unexpected Sounds comes from the idea that when people listen to this mixtape they may not know exactly what to expect and some of the various sounds that I make with the violin are generally seen as uncommon. Talib Kweli and producer 9th Wonder share the tracklist and cover art for their new album "Indie 500."

Last week Talib Kweli announced he was working on a new album with producer 9th Wonder. Talib Kweli shared a list of features that would appear on the album with HHDX, although we didn't know the actual title at that point. As it turns out, the duo are titling their joint effort after Kweli's recently-launched "Indie 500" movement.

The Indie 500 album features 13 songs, and appearances from Problem, Brother Ali, Bad Luc, Rapsody, Slug of Atmosphere, Pharoahe Monch and more. Take a look below, and peep the cover art above.
